well I really do not see how alien technology could be involved since the system is still primative in nature when you think about it (note how many blew up people, malfunctioned, burned on re-entry, etc.) Maybe that is all they want us to see, but there are other things - hidden. |
I still having mixed feelings about this topic, I do believe that there are people out there living in other planets but I doubt they have ever contacted someone from the Earth. But this is only my opinion, I'm not 100% sure.
I remember once in 8th grade during PE, some of my friends and I were relaxing outside talking and saw 2 whitish-shiny-oval-shaped objects flying south. As they were flying, they kept a certain distance from each other for about 2 minutes and then they moved away from each other while still going south, then came back together. At that moment, they vanished. We were kinda spazzing out over this for a few minutes, then we saw them again going the same direction. Eventually, it got to the point to were we couldn't see them anymore. I would say that That was a good example for a UFO to me, at least. There was another time that I think I saw one while laying on my trampoline at night. I personally believe they exist, and think the government is covering something up. I've read some books by Bob Frissell that might be interesting......
Well, as far as we can tell, there is no end to the Universe, litterally billions of suns like our own with planets rotating them. For what purpose would this be if not to have other worlds like our own, inhabited by people like us. There can be no doubt we are not alone.
In order for inhabitants from one of these planets to visit Earth, they would have to be much more advanced than we are at this time. I do not think we have been visited. For one, why would they be so secretive? We hear of alien abductions on lonely country roads, sightings that a few people here or there have seen but nothing substansive. As far as I can tell, there would be no reason for visitors from another world to come all the way here and then play hide and seek with us. Since they would be so much more advanced than us, they certainly would not fear us. I think they would land and approach us in the open. If they have good intentions, they would want to learn about us.
Another reason is, I think God has a reason for placing us where he did and if he wanted one world of people to meet another world, he would arrange for that to happen through him. All technological advances are given to man from God and I really do not think he would give a civilization enough know how to travel across the galaxy to visit another world. In fact, Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church stated this in a sermon he gave. I do not have a reference but I will see if I can find it.
Gaucho, although I agree with your point of view because of religious reasons, keep in mind that this is neither the Religions board or LDS board so others will have trouble relating to a point of view based solely on religion or belief. There is actually a thread about this in the LDS board.
