I think aliens are other evolved life forms like humans but they could also be a lizard man or an evolved dog. If our planet is like this in our solar system, some other system could just now be inventing the beginnings of space travel, like our planet.
I believe there are beings from other planest out there, posibly even more advanced than us. The universe never stops, and us being the only life forms seems improbable.
I also believe that they come to earth every once in awhile. One time, i was on a country road, and about 60 things happened at once. A deer ran in front of the pickup, there was a bump in the road, there was a flashing light all around, i mean like a white hot light, all the power in the car went out, even the CD ejected! Just as I was reaching for the keys, the whole car started up again, and the CD went back in. That was spooky! So yes, i do believe there are aliens, or mysterious forces. It could have been something else but... I HIGHLY doubt it
"Life will find a way", life as we know was brought here and was left to evolve...and here we are...!
Other types of planets have diferent types of evolution...and that is the legacy we need to find out (or the next generations)...
If we don't put too much value in temporary things like "soap operas", who is the most beautifull in a tabloid, who has the best car etc...and we open the eyes to see that "the bad guys are trying to stop the space program (acountants in charge instead of engineers or dreamers)"...MAYBE our kids will be living in space and talking to beings from another planets like I'm talking to you right now...
But, if you all will keep thinking that nothing good came from space program and the space program DIES...than the only way you will know about aliens will be in scifi movies and magazines, because the real ones will think our species is too "empty mindwise" to reach for them...and that will be the legacy that our kids will enheritage...not a good one!

Swamps on venus(I'm pretty sure its venus). it means theirs water on the planet. a species doesn't have to breath oxygen. maybe a planet in our own solar system inhabits life, and we don't know because the government will not put enough effort in to space exploration. I believe the universe is fill of millions of stars, billions of planets, and it is naive to believe that we are alone in this universe. The thought that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe is laughable, and delusional. It will just be to late when the government realizes it.
I'd like to express my opinion first in a few short sentences:
The Universe is INFINITE.
There are good chances for the development of other intelligent life-formes.
There are small chances that those life-formes could travel to us. (one could say that small chances are still chances).
A big problem could be the size-difference. (those life-forms could have sizes from nanometers to kilometers).
In conclusion, even if I "feel" that there are other intelligent life-formes in the Universe, the chances of us meeting them are not so big ... or ... am I wrong?
The universe is far too large for us to be alone in it, despite the fact that the odds against it are HUGE, the universe is just too vast. If we were alone in the universe, what would be the point? What would we accomplish if we were all alone out here? No I say the idea of us being alone is laughable. However, other intelligent life looking like us I find extremely doubtful, for all we know they'll look like nothing we've ever even dreamed of.
We don't know how big the universe is, but if it is as big as some think it to be, it is actually possible that there are creatures out there that look just like us, maybe one perhaps just like me, or maybe a planet just like the Earth. The chances are slim, but zero times infinity are always something.
