When I Had A Tstt Tdma Phone

I remember when I had a TDMA phone. I went in to switch the phone to get a SIM card. In addition to paying $150.00 for a new SIM card, these people at TSTT claimed that I owed them $800.00 in calls- which I paid. Keep in mind that my phone was part of a package with $75.00 per month, with unlimited free text messaging. I barely used the phone and communicated mainly by text messaging, and paid my bill monthly as scheduled. Point to note, the SIM that I bought never worked, it kept saying unregistered SIM when I put it in a phone. I went back a few times to regularize this but all efforts were futile. Eventually I got a new phone and had no need for that SIM card. Then a few months later, TSTT sends me a bill claiming that I owe them $10,000.00 for that same SIM, which was now prepaid- which I ignored. I totally have no faith in TSTT.

I know exactly how you feel. TSTT thinks that everything their computers tell them is correct and without fault. Of course the whole thing they forget is that the people who input info into those computers are not always correct. I have also received many false bills and I ignore them. One bill they sent me for $4 that they claimed I owned on a connection I closed months ago. I never paid it, yet they sent me bills for a whole year despite my calls to them. So silly it cost more to mail me a bill for $4 for an entire year than it is just to check your system!

Rather off topic, but...
I moved this from my Thread about the free Bmobile phone because they are not really realted. We do have general TSTT Threads within the Board if you want to rant about them.

TSTT is the plague of the goods when it comes to phones. Thank goodness Digicel is here to give them some competition otherwise we would still be paying exorbitant rates for simple calls and text messages.

I believe even the phones in stock are rigged to develop problems just after the warranty is up. My sister bought a Nokia something at TSTT and two weeks after the warranty the phone buttons stop working. How coincidental was that.

I heard from a friend that TSTT actually buys second hand cell phones. I am not surprised because I have often wondered why some cells do not work or if you look closely, you may see tiny scratches on them. My friend wanted to upgrade from TDMA to GSM. She purchased a Motorola cell phone and it was not working. She went back to complain about this and TSTT claimed that she dropped the cell and hence the reason why it was not working. Well she certainly told them what they could do with their cellular phone and they quickly exchanged it for her. Now she has recently changed to Digicel and is pleased as punch with the service!
