I came across your site while looking up info on Trinidad. I'm engaged to a Trini man and wanted to read up on a few things. He says he will move to Canada...but I like the thoughts of moving to Trinidad. So I'm reading up on a few things before we make our move!

Well....if he ever gets his visa he will be coming here to visit soon. That way he can see what Canada is all about. And together we can come up with a plan as to where we want to live and all. Iv been to Trinidad and find it beautiful there! Only issue I had while I was there was the looks...I swear if they could kill I would of been dead the moment I got off the plane and met up with my hubby to be. He is Indian and I'm white...I think we broke a few necks!

Oh, it is more common than you think (Indo-Trinis and "Whites"). You just experienced "Staring". Trinis LOVE to stare at people without any kind of diplomacy, it is their favorite hobby.

Which province are you from? Where is your fiance from? (Which part of Trinidad?)

Oh, well Gasparillo is definetely "country" side so not white folks around. If you go to Port of Spain you won't be stared as much. I said "as much" eh. We have another member here from Ontario. Looking forward to your posts.
