I don't know how it is in the US but in Trinidad buying a house near the beach isn't all that exciting. I find the properties to be very isolated and usually these areas are quite unsafe.

I would love to buy a property by the beach but can't afford it. Life here in Europe isn't that easy you have to work very hard for the basic things in life and a beach house isn't one of them.
