King Kong review

So critics are saying that this will be the first movie with a chance to touch Titanic's number one spot. I find this hilarious as they said the same about Godzilla and it was a big flop at the theatres. This being the fourth remake of Kong I don't see it doing better then Harry Potter or Narnia, nor does any other manager in my company.

It will be out next Wed. and I'll be sure to let everyone know how it was. But would like to hear if you all are planning to see it. If so is it because Peter Jackson directed or because its King Kong ?

I have a hard time believing this will touch Titanic, but I suppose we shall see. I am looking forward to seeing this at some point, but not right away. I definitely loved Harry Potter and really want to see the Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe. I think I would see both of these above King Kong, even if Peter Jackson is directing it.

REVIEW: 'KING KONG' A GIANT PLEASURE

What do you do after creating the multiple Academy Award winning "The Lord of the Rings," arguably the greatest film trilogy of all time? Well, if you're Peter Jackson you immediately jump behind the camera and direct "King Kong," a film that became a classic when it stunned audiences back in 1933.

After previewing this last night all I can say is Peter Jackson needs to learn how to make a two hour movie. The group dont get off the Island till middle of reel 7 and there are 9 reels. But on a side note the trailer pack has some intereting comming soon teasers, Xmen3 and MI3 smile.gif

I know when I was younger I was a big fan of the King Kong movies. When I first heard about the movie, I was really looking forward to it. My choice to see it was not because of Peter Jackson, but I hoped he would do a good job with it. I actually have two free tickets for the movie, but now I have to talk my fiance into going and seeing it (she has no desire to see it). Let me know how it is?

'Kong' Opens Shy of Blockbuster Standards

"King Kong" was less of a box-office brute than Hollywood expected, taking in $50.15 million in its first weekend, a sturdy start but unremarkable by Hollywood blockbuster standards.

PETER JACKSON GETS THE MONKEY OFF HIS BACK

The box-office performance of Peter Jackson's "King Kong" wasn't as chest-thumping as many expected. But to be fair, $217 million isn't terrible, nor was the $520 million worldwide take.

I just saw this on DVD last night, and wasn't too impressed. It was kind of fun to watch, and the gorilla looked good, but there was just too much "action." You'd think they were done fighting one thing, or you would hope, but it would just go on and on! Especially the bug part, we were sick of it by then and since I hate bugs we fast-forwarded that part. I would say that if they took out the entire bug scene and shortened up the rest of the fighting scenes a little, it would have been better.

That and I got really sick of Jack Black and his dishonesty and uncaring of the life of anyone. You could tell that he was just trying to justify himself when things happened, but really everything was his fault, and not only did he never learn, nobody seemed to care about all the horror that he caused (except for those who were on the island).

Anyway, it was a dissappointment, I give it just 2 starorange.gif' /><!--endemo-->  </p><div> </div> </div>
