Another loss for the winless Miami Dolphins: Quarterback Chad Henne is out for the season. Henne decided to have shoulder surgery and was placed on the injured reserve list Thursday. The Dolphins replaced him on the roster by signing veteran quarterback Sage Rosenfels, who was released Tuesday by the New York Giants after recovering from a blood disorder that sent him to the hospital in August.

Report: Lions' Harrison has brain tumor (AP)

ESPN is reporting that Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison has a brain tumor. The network cited two NFL sources it did not identify in Thursday's report. It says the tumor was revealed when Harrison had a physical after being dealt this week by Detroit to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade that was voided by the discovery.

Publicist: Owens did not attempt suicide (AP)

A publicist for Terrell Owens says he "absolutely" did not attempt suicide or overdose on pills earlier this month. In a statement, publicist Diana Bianchini says an assistant arrived at Owens' home on Oct. 6 after he had taken a sleeping aid to fall asleep. The assistant did not realize that, became concerned and called 911.
