I have never had an interest in getting a flu shot, I think the better precaution is staying away from infected people, sanitizing your hands and face regularly and above all --> proper diet with lots of daily Vitamin C if you cannot get high amounts from a natural source. Getting a Flu Shot is like doing a bad with the hope of curing another bad.
