The NBA filed two claims against the NBAPA on Tuesday-- an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board and a lawsuit in federal district court in New York.

Retired Houston Rockets center Yao Ming could enter the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as early as next year -- not as a player, but as a contributor to the game. Nuggets G Lawson to join Lithuanian team (AP)

Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson has signed a deal to play with the Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas that will allow him to return to the NBA if the lockout ends. The team's general director, Paulius Motiejunas, confirmed the deal Monday night. Lawson will team up with Sonny Weems, a former Nuggets guard who signed with the Lithuanian squad last month.

Police: Crittenton was out for revenge (AP)

New details are emerging about an NBA player charged in the shooting death of an Atlanta woman. A report obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press said Javaris Crittenton was robbed of $55,000 worth of jewelry in April. Authorities say Crittenton was retaliating when he shot Jullian Jones on Aug. 19, but they say she was not the intended target.

Labor talks to resume Wednesday (AP)

NBA players and owners will resume talks on Wednesday, two people with knowledge of the plans said Tuesday. This comes a week after the sides vowed to meet more frequently in hopes of reaching a new collective bargaining agreement. The session will be just the third between top negotiators since the lockout started July 1.
