Knicks' Anthony works out, may return (AP)

Carmelo Anthony took part in a morning workout and the New York Knicks will decide on his availability shortly before their game against Detroit. Coach Mike D'Antoni says Anthony wants to work out again Tuesday at Madison Square Garden so he can be sure he is ready to return after missing the past two games with ankle, wrist and thumb injuries.

Knicks expect Anthony to miss 1-2 weeks (AP)

The New York Knicks say they expect Carmelo Anthony to miss a week or two with a strained right groin. Anthony was hurt Monday, leaving after six minutes of a 99-88 victory over Utah and continuing an injury-plagued season. Anthony has missed three games with various ankle, wrist and hand injuries and shot poorly in a handful of others while playing through the pain.
