Driving on the left side of the road

what countries drive on the left side of the road?


I know Britain, Japan and Ireland for sure, and there's new zealand and Austalia, but who else is out there?

In Trinidad we drive on the left side of the road. The correct side I might add.

After driving on both sides of the road (I have permits for the USA, UK and Trinidad) I have found that it really does not matter.

I drove on the left side of the road when stationed in Okinawa for a year.  I didn't see a difference once I got used to it.  I do believe statistics suggest it is safer to drive on the left, but I don't know why?

Has anyone else heard this?

Do they drive on the left side in china? Anyone ever been there and know? I've never heard those statistics, but its mos tlikely right.

Yeah they do drive in the left side of the road in China.. I'd feel weird driving on the left side here in Canada :<!--emo&:)--><!--endemo-->

Haha yah, that would be so weird..I can't imagine sitting in shotgun and driving from there. I would just feel awkward....

Well, don't forget, most cars have the steering column on the other side as well so you are still sitting next to the middle of the road, not shotgun. The only thing is the shifting in a car with manual transmission. The gears are still in the same place so that can be a little weird. At least I think they are in the same place, but it has been 24 years since I drove on the left so I am not 100% sure.

Yeah, having to drive a standard would be very difficult. You would have to shift with your left hand and i'm not good with my left hand at all!
