* Courtesy will get you far
* There is no need to shout. If the person is so far from you that you need to shout then place yourself closer to where they can hear you and you both can communicate without the whole of T&T knowing what you are talking about
* There is no need to think you are a comedian by placing what you term to be 'jokes' at the end of every sentence
* If someone asks you a legitimate question then answer in a clear audible voice. Do not attempt to remain silent, roll eyes, sigh or use body gestures as a means for a response
* When you are addressing someone that you do not know then you say "Sir" Or "Mam"
* When in a meeting or conference do not hold a separate meeting with your friend at the same time

Give the person you are talking to his space. Don't come up too close because this may create discomfort for the other person.

Don't point at the person you are talking to even if you are illustrating a point. Be polite.

While talking to someone, don't answer your cell phone because the person you are speaking with will feel as if the person on the cell phone is more important to you. If you must answer, politely inform the person that it is an important call you must take and excuse yourself.

If you are smoking, don't blow smoke in the person's face while speaking to him. Turn your head away while exhaling or extinguish the cigarette.

If you must cough or sneeze, be polite and use a handkerchief or your hand to cover your mouth or nose.

If you are with your girlfriend or spouse, introduce your significant other to your friend and don't just ignore him/her while talking.

One most annoying one:

* Do not comment on everything, especially when you do not know the person! Yes, Trinis like to be 'friendly' but there is something called "Boundaries". For instance and just a simple example: if you see someone eating a banana with their left hand don't pass by telling them they should use their right hand instead. They will eat their banana however they want - period!

I so don't like when you're in a maxi / taxi and someone sees someone they know and starts shouting passed your ears at them.

I will like to shake Paolo Kernahan's hand because he says somethings in this article that I have been saying for years and it is not unique to body shaming. Even at the highest levels of authority and education Trinis do not have common courtesy and come across as abrupt, forward, fast and out of place.
