Strange. The Nobel nominations have to be in by February. Obama had only been in office for approximately 2-3 weeks. Seems like, by the way that the phrasing of the awarding of the prize, this was more of a Anti-Bush victory as apposed to a Obama victory.
There is a lot of talk globally about Obama and the award, but I'm placing them here: Source 1 in 'his' Thread to keep this one free for the actual winners. I will say this for the actual Nobel Prize though - does this tarnish it's nobility? No longer will it be regarded as much importance because where as some have to work decades trying to create peace before they are awarded, Obama shows up in a few months and gets it. Who makes up the committee that chooses the award anyway?
