2009 Nobel Prize - Page 2

I was listening to the radio today and heard that the winner of the 2010 and 2011 Nobel Peace Prize has been decided in early voting. Obama has won these awards as well. Now, I was listening to Dennis Miller's radio show...but he did say it!

Also, unfortunately, Obama has not yet won the Nobel Prize for Economics. I am crossing my fingers on that one!

How does a man like Obama go from committing 30,000 troops to Afghanistan to receiving a Nobel PEACE prize? What a whacky world we live in.

I have to agree that a person who sends troops over to fight and possibly die in a war is not one who should be receiving a prize for peace.

Prize Nobel

international QUOTE (JB @ 9-Oct 09, 11:59 PM)
I will say this for the actual Nobel Prize though - does this tarnish it's nobility?

Does the Noble Prize has ANY nobility when people like Arafat wins it? For me, the prize is worth nothing.
