The government of Israel gave up the Gaza Strip, forcibly evicting many people from their homes that the government of Israel helped them set up. Before they were even finished with that action, Palestinian Arabs were shooting rockets into Israel. Israel didn't react for some time. When they did, it was relatively low-key.
Recently, Hamas operatives tunneled into an Israeli military compound and captured an Israeli soldier, and is demanding that Israel hand over thousands of terrorists. (I thought it was the Israelis only who claimed that an Israeli life was worth 1000 Palestinian Arab lives, but it appears the Arabs also think that way.)
I think that due to these provocations, Hamas has prepared itself to be forcibly eliminated. If the Arabs won't do it, then the true Palestinians, the Jews, will have to.

Israeli tanks move back into Gaza Strip
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Israeli tanks pushed back into the Gaza Strip before dawn Saturday, a day after ending a deadly incursion that killed 30 Palestinians over three days. Seven tanks crossed just over Gaza's northern border, Palestinian security officials said. The army had said its withdrawal Friday was temporary and did not mean its monthlong offensive in the Gaza Strip was over.

This whole situation is a joke. Israel just goes in and arrests whoever they want to without any evidence or provocation. And they wonder why Palestinian Governments are so ineffective?
Anyone here who thinks Israel has given up the Gaza Strip or West Bank needs to wake up. Israel controls these areas through military might and by starving Palestinians of funding that is rightfully theirs. Do you think Palestinians enjoy any freedom whatsoever?
The violence will continue. Israel will murder 3 times more Palestinians than vice versa, as was always the case, and nothing will ever get solved.
Palestinians deserve their own state, and, until they are granted this unconditionally, there will never be an end to the violence.
It's not like Israel is even giving up their own land. The Palestinians want less than 25 per cent of what was once Palestine. The parts they want Israel has illegally occupied for decades.
By the same token, if the idiots on the Palestinian side keep provoking the Jews then they are equally to blame in this bloodbath. Israel has never shown any indications they genuinely want peace, while the Palestinians also use violence to achieve political gain. It's a sick, viscious cycle.
The US needs to step in. They are really the key to a peaceful resolution. But unfortunately the US is very happy to support Israel in whatever it does because Israel is a convenient policemen for US interests in the Middle East.
Look at what happened in Lebanon, over 1300 innocent civilians murdered and major infrastructure destroyed by Israel because of a terrorist organisation that is supported by Iran and Syria. Is 1 Israeli captive worth more than 100 Lebanese lives?
I just hope I live to see peace in the Middle East.
