Palestine Statehood Who Is Right? Should Palestine be its own soverign nation state? Why is the USA attempt to block this from happening? Is Israel using an apartheid system much like South Africa did where people are segregated into undesirable areas and become unable to access the basic necessities of life? Does Israel have a point that they have major security challenges against those trying to harm them? How can this be resolved or will it ever? Will there be a Palestine state?

Palestine vs. Israel - Page 45

What a surprise, the US has vetoed yet another UN resolution critical of Israel murdering women and children. This resolution is nothing more than to condemn a war crime. But of course, it is never a war crime if it is committed by the US or Israel.

And then the American Government whinges when the UN doesn't support their calamitous plans to invade of Iraq.

The comments by Avigdor Lieberman came as the rival Palestinian factions, Hamas and Abbas's Fatah, continued talks on forming a unity government.
The leaders of Hamas, which won parliamentary elections in the Palestinian territories last January, should be "sent to paradise," Lieberman told Israel radio, "all of them. On this there should be no compromise."
He also called for Israel to ignore international pressure efforts to resume peace negotiations with the Palestinians, and said his country should abandon earlier agreements under the Oslo accords and the "road map" to peace promoted by U.S. President George Bush.

This is absolutely disgraceful.

Who the hell does the Israeli Government think they are? Those blood thirsty lunatics, alongside the US Administration, have preached for democracy in Palestine, just as they try to impose their ideology elsewhere, and look what happens. Hamas comes to power. Not a surprise to the rest of the world when you consider that Israel had done its best to prevent the Fatah party from having a meaningful government.

Why don't Israel and the US just invade Palestine, like they did Iraq, remove Hamas and plant their own puppet regime in that region? That is their end goal right? Then at least they won't have to kill women and children under the cloak of a "military operation" which itself is a joke. If israel

You will note that Israelis have killed 31 stillbirth children in less than six years. What sort of coward attacks a pregnant women? This makes me sick in the stomach. There are also nearly 900 Palestinian children murdered, nearly the whole Israeli death toll. They were killed by gutless soldiers who are really terrorists in uniform.

Of course Israel has escalated its bloody massacre in recent months so this death toll is already outdated. This also doesn't take into account the thousands more Palestinians who are dying from starvation and preventable diseases as a result of Israel withholding Palestine's rightful money.

And while the rest of the world condemns Israel, the US blocks every single UN resolution, about 65, that condemns the violence. I challenge anyone on here to tell me this isn't a disgrace.

The unfortunate part is that the number really is 5322 and that is the total number of "people" that have died. No one life is any better or more valuable than the other. There is no right or wrong in this issue. If you were a Jew that had to pick up the arm of one of your buddies that was just blown to bits in a suicide bombing, you would be upset and do so justly. If you were a Palestinian that watched their friend blown away as an unfortunate bystander in a missle attack, you would be upset at the other side...and justly. No one is totally innocent.

You are right. No one life is worth more than another. So why are there four times as many Palestinians who have been murdered than Israelis? Why does the US prevent the world from condemning Israeli violence at the UN?

I disagree that there is no right or wrong. They are both wrong. A life is a life. It doesn't matter who or how they are being murdered.

If you were a Palestinian that watched their friend blown away as an unfortunate bystander in a missile attack

Vincenzo, you have unwittingly illustrated one of the great crimes in Western reporting in the Middle East today. You have diluted the significance of that Palestinian life by labeling it as an "unfortunate bystander". This is not only a lie being purported in newspapers you probably read, it condones Israel's ruthless and deliberate use of heavy weaponry to murder innocent civilians.

Israel's artillery is FAR superior and more accurate than Palestinian's. So how is it that they still kill so many "innocent" bystanders? The answer is they TARGET civilians. They don't care who they kill and every time Palestinians die they parrot the same rubbish that they were 'suspected militants", that is conveniently devoured by cowardly and toothless journalists who don't want to sound "anti-semitic" or offend the might of Israel.

So basically, when a Palestinian dies it is an accident, but when a Jew dies it is an act of terror. This leads me to think that the terrorist problem in Palestine is not near as bad as Israel's incompetence? But of course, we all know the second most advanced military in the world are such inaccurate fools.

I have seen countless videos of Israeli troops deliberately targeting civilians, opening fire upon them and murdering them in cold blood. I have seen video footage on an Israeli bulldozer running over an American peace protestor, not once, but twice, until she was dead. I am not one to condone Hamas or Palestinian terror, but I am sick and tired of the double standards here.

Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid: Jimmy Carter In His Own Words

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter is accusing Israel of creating an apartheid system in the West Bank and Gaza. The charge comes in his new book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." We play an address by Carter talking about the Palestine-Israel conflict, the role of the United States and much more. Carter says, "Palestinians are deprived of basic human rights, their land has been occupied, then confiscated, then colonized by the Israeli settlers."

I have to ask... is Jimmy Carter a Palestinian or a secret member of the Hamas? I aks because I do not see how a country could be seen as criminal in deciding what to do with its OWN money.

Jimmy Carter has always been an enemy of Israel, and a close friend of the Palestinians. He always criticizes Israel for any attempt to enforce their sovereignty, while failing to condemn the Palestinians for their atrocities.
