I don't think it is a great idea for Israel to cut of all trade, including food, to Gaza. However, Gaza has shown that it is completely uncivilized. Perhaps it should look to its spiritual leaders in Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Syria for supplies, instead of the people it is murdering.
Gaza Hunger In Pictures
I stopped by al shanty bakery mid of Gaza City. It is one of the biggest bakeries across Gaza which provides tens of thousands with bread. Hundreds of people crowded outside the bakery in a very long long row waiting for bag of bread. Children, women and men were awaiting the chance to have the bread which is totally running out in Gaza.

With 290 dead and a basic condition of starving the people I can see some tragic reprisals coming upon Israel. I hope they are prepared for it because the hate in the Arab world grows with each shot.

Israeli Attacks Kill Over 310 in Gaza in One of Israel's Bloodiest Attacks on Palestinians Since 1948
Amidst worldwide protests, Israel is continuing its bombing campaign against Gaza for the third consecutive day and preparing to launch a possible ground invasion. Following months of a crippling blockade, this has been described as one of Israel's bloodiest attacks on Palestinians since 1948. Latest reports indicate that 310 people have been killed and 1,400 injured in the aerial strikes across the Gaza Strip since Saturday morning. The latest targets of the air strikes include the Hamas Interior Ministry building and the Islamic University. Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak announced today that Israel is in an "all-out war with Hamas and its proxies" in Gaza. Fears of a ground invasion are growing after Israel declared a military buffer zone around Gaza, closing off the strip and its 1.5 million residents to journalists and civilians.
We speak to Dr. Moussa El-Haddad and Fida Qishta in Gaza, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti in Ramallah, Gideon Levy in Tel Aviv and Ali Abunimah in the US.

The problem is that there truly is no bargaining partner on the Palestinian side. Abbas has shown time in time again that he cannot control Hamas. Arafat could not control Hamas. All of the Palestinians could want to get a peace deal signed, but the fact is that Hamas is not interested. Until they have dined on enough death, there is no chance for peace.
On a near daily basis, they loaded up rockets with fuel and shot them into Israeli territory. They asked Abbas to do something about it or the temporary peace would end. He was given ample opportunity. Abbas pleaded on television with the leaders of Hamas to stop the violence, but to no avail. It is obvious that he is not in control of his territory...Hamas is. OR...One could say that since Hamas is not the majority of Palestinians, that they are in general complacent with the attacks and the potential reprocussions.
It is way too complex to even get into depth on these pages, but until Palestine stands up against elements within their popluation that are not for peace with Israel, but waiting for its destruction...the whole will not enjoy the kind of peace with Israel that has come to countries like Jordan and Egypt.

Comments: Why does it seem that modern warfare is against just a few people. The way it is described in the news, the Israeli PM should be out having one- on one duels. Wars... Or limited conflict in this case are between groups of people. Non-combatants and pacifist are generally forced to come along for the ride.
