As usual Vincenzo you capture it all.
The Israelis building settlements in the Palestinian Territories, is nothing more than making an impossible situation even more impossible. Perhaps that is why they do it as they have given up on a chance of peace with the Palestinians?
Let's say the Palestinians and Israelis have a peace agreement tomorrow. How will the boundaries look any different than they would have after the Arab Israeli War Boundaries? They wouldn't. So they could have had the peace that they would get now for the last several decades or couple of generations. However, they haven't. If anything, the rifts seems to be leading back up to a real war and not just some military operations. My opinion is that they really don't want peace. The price for it is unsavory to them and the martordom is more pleasing. And if Israel lets its guard down for a moment, there are many Palestinians that want to see them not only leave but dead. I agree that the Israelis would love for the Palestinians to leave Gaza and the West Bank, but realize it isn't going to happen. However, they arent joyous at body counts.
My opinion is the only reason you arent seeing a more radicalized Palestine is that their brothers arent really all that supportive - except for Lebanon, since the last loss they suffered as a group to Israel. Basically, their support is for the most part - all talk. Additionally, a stable Jordan is key in keeping what you are eluding to from happening. King Hussein's grasp of power is very key at this time for holding the powder keg from blowing up. And while I hate to admit it, Assad in Syria now looks to be more beneficial in power than deposed and succeeded by what looks like ISIS or radical islamists of another bent.
All this being said, I have to salute the people of Egypt. I love it that they decided that they didn't like the Muslim Brotherhood lying to them to get into power and took it upon themselves to get a government that they like. If this is the situation in Palestine...they should take notice.

I was reading an article from Source 2 and it made me think about the precision of Israeli retaliation. Let's suppose that with all the destruction that has been done by the Israeli army does not even get 10% of those firing the missiles then is it worth it? I am neither for or against the conflict I am asking from a tactical standpoint.
