Back 100 years ago, the Balfour Declaration layed the groundwork for the foundation of a Jewish state - Israel. The ottoman empire had been destroyed and all the lands and countries they had absorbed needed to be re-divided back into individual states. France Britain and Spain all had responsibilities for dividing up the vast land into recognizable countries again. These were the mandates. Britain, seeing how the Jewish settlers in the land that was called Palestine Were so very industrious and dynamically working the land from swamps into Farms. Land that they had purchased from the Arab owners at extremely high, sometimes as high as 10 times, prices per acre. Over half a million Arabs came into the land that the Jews were working as labor, because the surrounding lands owned and controlled by the Arabs did not have work and they saw the opportunity provided by the Jews. In Fact, the Jews were very proud that they were able to employ so many people, when there were only about 80,000 of them in the area.
Once the Declaration was announced, the Arab countries surrounding the area realized that they’d be losing control of Jerusalem, they started a war of lies, propaganda, and terrorism, trying to drive both the British and the Jews out. Ever since then, that has been the goal of all the Arab leaders with few exceptions. Once Israel’ was announced as a Legitimate country, the other Arab countries immediately sent troops in to take it over and “drive the Jews into the sea”. Only by what truly should be considered miracles were the Jewish people able to push back against the Arab armies, although the armistice line, where the cease fire treaty was made between the Jews and the Arabs, shows how close Israel’ came to being wiped out.
When five of the Arab countries tried to have another war in 1967, the Jews were able to push the edit all the forces out of the Israel’ slice, and out of the Sinai desert. Literally the Jews overwhelmed the vastly larger armies. Seeking peace, like they always have, Israel’ agreed to give back the Sinai, but wanted to keep Control of strategic areas so that they would not be vulnerable to attack again. This meant that they kept the Golan Heights, the Gaza strip, and the area that Jordan used to control. Inside the areas that Jordan used to control were a lot of Arab people who are citizens of Jordan. Israel’ agreed to manage the area but not drive the citizens out. Instead they began Putting settlements on empty areas in between the Arab villages. Certain areas were left under Arab control, And from these areas regular suicide bombings, shootings, rockthrowing’s, fires were launched by the Arab citizens. That is why the fence was built. Back in 1969 Yasser Arafat declared that all the Arabs that were in the land of Israel were in fact no longer citizens of their respective countries, but we’re now Palestinians. This is the perpetuated lie that is used as media ammunition unto today. Until the Arab countries stop sustaining the myth that Palestinians are you ternal refugees, and accept them into the countries they are currently living, this unsubtle war will continue.
As has been said many many times, If the Arabs lay down their weapons, There would be peace. If Israel lay down their weapons, there would be no more Israel. This is a Truism. So even today the Arab people that want to see Israel destroyed are throwing their children their women and their men at the task. And their leaders take all the worlds aid sent to the Palestinians and put it in their own pockets.

While I don't understand the intricacies, as my friend above explained, as to why there is this conflict between Palestine and Israel I do understand this… once one group claims superiority, right over something and so forth based on religion then there is bound to be fighting.

Yes. If Hamas decides to start a war, it would be over in a matter of days. In every case where some government decided to attack Israel, they lost and Israel won. In some cases, it has been called a miracle that they did. So, if Hamas is that foolish or desperate as to start it, Israel will finish it.
