I totally agree with funbikerchick that the inmates of GUANTANAMOBA should either be charged with some crime or set free. Most of these prisoners are languishing in this jail without any criminal act assigned to them .A case in point is the incarceration of Dr Afia Siddiqui who is a highly educated neurologist. She has received education in the field of neurology from the best American institutes.Dr Afia was arrested from Pakistan by the American agencies. She has since been under detention . After much public outcry in Pakistan Dr Afia has been sent to a US hospital for psychiatric treatment. Out of her three children only one male child has been handed over to her sister Dr Fozia Siddiqui in Pakistan. Nobody knows anything about her boy and girl.It is unimaginable that a woman of the calibre and education of Dr Afias would commit any crime. If she has then it ought to be made public. If Dr Afia has been a victim of some mistake then she should be set free and a public apology would not dwarf the image of those who have caused her misery.
It seems like we will be paying the bill to house some of these inmates in hotels, but only in certain areas.

MMM... They probably do not want to put these in the South and they definitely do not want to let people know about them.
Just send them back to their host countries. I do not want people who were picked up on the battlefield in Downtown U.S.A.
Guantanamo is the best place for people who openly declare they want to fight the United States. Better in the resort that is Guantanamo then the resorts we have here in the States.

Jeremy Scahill: "Little Known Military Thug Squad Still Brutalizing Prisoners at Gitmo Under Obama"
Jeremy Scahill reports the Obama administration is continuing to use a notorious military police unit at Guantanamo that regularly brutalizes unarmed prisoners, including gang-beating them, breaking their bones, gouging their eyes and dousing them with chemicals. This force, officially known as the Immediate Reaction Force, has been labeled the "Extreme Repression Force" by Guantanamo prisoners, and human rights lawyers call their actions illegal. Ref.
