The following news clip leads to ask the question... 'Who was slacking?' Is it more bad that terrorists want to kill you as much as you doing nothing to protect your own people? Maybe the US saw it as another bluff or thought that it was going to be some kind of car bomb. I believe the US will take into account ALL information received now.
HOW MUCH DID MASSOUD KNOW?
Assassinated Afghan opposition leader Ahmed Shah Massoud had "limited
knowledge" of a planned attack against the United States and was warning the
West of the threat, according to a newly declassified cable from the
Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency.

From CNN: Children dead after U.S. airstrike
KABUL, Afghanistan -- The U.S military says nine children have been found dead after an airstrike on a suspected terrorist's position in Afghanistan.
The Associated Press said an American A-10 aircraft struck a site south of Ghazni in eastern Afghanistan where a "terrorist" was believed to be hiding on Saturday morning.
Crews reported killing the man, who they believed killed two foreign contractors in October....

Children are lost, women raped, places destroyed, families broken, starvtion, etc. The point is was it necessary? |
Well they caught Saddam, but Bin Laden is proving to be more of a fighter, afterall he is a zealot and is led by religion, where as Saddam was led by luxury, so maybe this is why it is so difficult to find him? or maybe Osama is already dead and buried under a bomb and dirt?
No, I don't think he is dead, I think he is very much alive....and who knows, planning the death of so many innocent people again. I really hope they can catch him soon, but you notice you don't hear anymore saying they're looking for him....

Pakistan Hits Villages Seeking al-Qaida
Mar 19, 8:09 AM (ET)
By RIAZ KHAN
WANA, Pakistan (AP) - Thousands of Pakistani army reinforcements joined a major offensive Friday in tribal border villages where al-Qaida's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahri, is believed surrounded, while Afghan authorities reported the arrests of midlevel terrorist leaders on their side of the border.
Townspeople said heavy guns fired through the night and jet fighters were visible in the area, as fighting spread Friday to two more villages in South Waziristan, where Pakistani paramilitary forces began an operation against al-Qaida and Taliban fugitives four days ago.
=====================================================
There is a disturbing study out today from the International Institute for Strategic Studies, a well-respected London-based think tank. It says that al Qaeda has more than 18,000 members ready to strike around the world. And the study finds that the war in Iraq, often billed as part of the war against terrorism, has actually made it easier for al Qaeda to recruit new members. And Osama bin Laden remains a powerful figure around the world. The war in Afghanistan hurt al Qaeda, but didn't destroy it, and that war goes on today.
