I can tell you that they went in to take him hostage if possible. If they could not take him without problems killing him is easier. I think we would have liked to take him hostage but killing him is much easier and neater. Less chance of someone trying to break him free. Now his followers can rent some scuba devices to retrieve his body.
I for one am not going to watch any videos about this, graphic or otherwise. Further we killed him based on what he has done and been doing. I was saying if we dropped bombs on him with stealth bombers he would have been no less armed or able to fight back.
I'm not going to shout it from the mountain tops that he's dead but do you really expect people to not be happy? One thing I keep thinking of is when the witch of west is killed by Dorothy in the movie The Wizard of Oz. Everyone broke into song and danced celebrating the witches death. That is a child's movie and in many others the sentiment is the same.
When a monster who is terrifying and killing innocent people is destroyed people rejoice, that's just the way of it. Is it right, maybe not, but that is human nature.

The Risks
Obama -- who recalled failed helicopter missions in Somalia in 1993 and Iran in 1980 -- said he decided the potential rewards outweighed the risks because "we have devoted enormous blood and treasure in fighting back against al-Qaeda" since the 9/11 attacks bin Laden organized. Ref. Source 4
