I have searched and searched and this is the only plan that seems to be definite on what they are going to build at ground zero. From what I have been reading on the net, all floors above the 70th floor, in the 1,776 foot tower, will contain gardens.
Libeskind's WTC Vision Marches On
When his plan for rebuilding the World Trade Center won an international contest in February, architect Daniel Libeskind became the public face of the world's most emotionally freighted real estate project.
His scheme preserved the lost trade center's foundation and invoked the nation's birth with a 1,776-foot tower. And Libeskind, a dynamo in designer glasses, seemed the perfect salesman for a challenging work of architecture.

I agree there should be some kind of memorial, like a park with beautiful scenery.
But, I also think that we need to look at the economic side of it and make sure that businesses are permitted to come back and relocate in a new building(s) and start fresh. It is tough as that area provided a lot of jobs for a lot of people.
They will never be forgotten as America will never forget.
I wish there was a way to remind people so we can continue to be united like we were afterward, it seems like people have already forgotten and nothing has changed
I agree with part of this. I am sure that no one has really forgotten. I think that some, just choose not to think about it. I mean, who can look at the New York skyline and not remember WTC towers standing there? Or what happened there on that day? There are many people that will never, ever forget. I know that my oldest child will never forget, any time soon, or any of my family, friends, or myself and all of those families who lost loved ones on that day. I want them to make a memorial out of the foundation base that is still there, sorta like the Vietnam Memorial.
As for the unity that the nation had, during that time, I think that it has faded somewhat, but I don't think it's completely gone.

Comments: I think they should just leave it as it is - but build a fountain and a memorial wall. I don't believe they should build a building. Or they could just leave it like that forever, it is sacred in the history of America.
