Relatives of an infant who died after being in the care of a baby sitter are coming to the defense of the baby's mother. Jared Billette, 23, was arrested Thursday afternoon. The baby died after Billette was taken into custody. Friday, prosecutors charged Billette with murder, a first-degree felony. Bail was set at $1 million. Ref. Source 8
