Do you think that some Trinidadians are overly obsessed with Facebook?

Trinis can't see anything new. They see someone on it so they think they have to be. I like it as a way to just keep in touch with old school friends but some people think its like another reality - not!

Comments: I love Facebook like all those in other parts of the world love Facebook! No better nor worse than those other fellows out there in the vast media wasteland!

I think some of them get carried away and don't know when to stop chatting. Sometimes I'm afraid to login cause once I do I get al these messages to chat and I don't want to make them feel bad like I'm ignoring them but really I just want to check my messages and leave.

Inspector Alexander was saying on Beyond the Tape that if it were up to him no children under the age of 18 wouldn't use Facebook. He was saying there was a big problem with criminal adults posing as children and luring children to do indecent acts such as post nude photos or even meet them at locations. Parents should beware. Inspector Alexander and Marlon were also mentioning in an off topic way the level of conversations there. I very much agree. I cannot stand Facebook and use it only to display news Threads from here to let people know there is actually a place where sensible Discussion can take place.

Its disgusting to see what some Trinis wil do on Facebook its like they have no shame. I'll bet that if you met some of these people in person you will be surprised that they can barely hold a proper conversation but don't mind taking pictures of their behind to upload rolleyes.gif.
