The White House is planning ahead for the 10th anniversary of the worst terror attack in U.S. History -- the September 11, 2001 attacks in NYC, PA, and Washington, DC. At a ceremony in New York marking the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, family members of the victims have begun reading the names of those who died.
Silence spread across New York at 8:46 a.m. -- the time when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center a decade ago.
The city observed another moment of silence at 9:03 a.m., when United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower.
More than 200 miles away in Washington, mourners will observe a moment of silence at 9:37 a.m. -- the moment American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon and killed 184 people.
And at 10:03 a.m., silence will fall on Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where passengers aboard United Airlines Flight 93 thwarted a hijacking plot and crashed the plane into the ground.

This was a sad time for America and it still is today because families are still losing their loved ones to war in the fight against terrorism. I hope they can find a bit of peace today.

After Burn Injuries Sept. 11 Survivor Shows 'Strength'
Lauren Manning was one of the few employees of her firm to survive the attacks on the World Trade Center, but suffered massive burn injuries. She credits her will to survive to the memory of her colleagues. "I took absolute personal responsibility that they wouldn't get another one," she says.

Forget 9/11? "Real news" Al Jazeera says it's time to move on
That's right, Hillary Clinton's favorite source for "real news" says that we have spent too much time mourning and remembering 9/11, and that it wasn't even that big of a deal! "It did not endanger the existence of our country - or even of New York City," the op-ed reads. Wow - that's the news that our Secretary of State wants us to read!
