I see they have cure light wounds potions posted at 50gp. It heals 1d8+3 hp, being the creator must be at third level to use the create potion feat, giving the potion a +3. Soap, rations, quarterstaff, and goods like that are in the equipment list. Use the ADnD Stats link - when in equipment look for: Good and Services.
I didn't think about actually trying to buy "magic" items like salves and potions and things like that, as I wasn't sure if this place would have any of that, even if it were allowed. Those were always things that had to be found or given by someone, not things that sit out on shelves, in the tabletop games I've played, so it really didn't enter into my mind.
I should have bought a longbow. What is wrong with me.
I'm buying a regular longbow now (-75gp). I'm also offering my current shortbow to any character that needs it. I'm at 25 gold now.
I didn't really think of it either till Lionel mentioned it. Yes this is true, it is up to the GM wether or not those items exist in town. Though I imagined to myself, if they have a local wizard there are probably several churches. All of the potions were pretty low level. So to me it seems logical they would have at least a few of these potions around for sale. Though again it isn't my decision.
Other games I have played in wands of healing and wands of magic missile were used by the lower level players a lot. As it lets the magic users and clerics focus their spell slots on more creative spells or situation effective spells. Which enhances fun value and still allows the PC's attack and heal spells. This way they are not forced to use all their 3 spells in attack or healing. Then on round 4 have nothing significant to add to the fight.
Also arcane/divine spell users could use wands/ above their level (I don't remember if there is a rule against that in this version).
So, a 3rd level wizard could use a Wand of Fear at 3rd level, a spell he wouldn't normally be able to use until 7nth level. Of course these higher level spells, for the budget of a 3rd level caster, cost extreme amounts of gold for just one charge.
KNtoran Updated!
Lionel pays 200gp for 2 Jump potions, and 2 Pass without Trace Potions, and 66gp for necklace, plus soap 1Ib, rations 4 Ib, paper (4), Ink (1), Explorer's outfit (1), and quarterstaff (1). In addition I have added a longbow. Lionel now has about 4 gp.
Glad thats all cleared up.
I'll just take six healing potions then at 50gps each. Thats all you need to add to my character thanks.
