Hrm, just a question: What is your race restrictions? I was thinking about requesting to join your campaign but I would much prefer to play a comical relief character that doesn't contribute a whole lot to the party aside from some good laughs. Of course I would not design him to hinder the party or slow them down either, just want to switch it up a little bit.

Don't feel obligated to accept my request, I am fine with PHB races if it would make things easier.

Kujin let me know what you have in mind and I will see what we can do to make it happen. I can not answer anything until I have a idea of what your thinking.

Hrm I have been thinking about this really hard. I have come up with a few ideas.

- You may not go for this but how about a funny Lycanthropy that has no benefits. (Instead of the common were-wolf / vampire / were-bear which can all be very beneficial when combined with the right class, how about something completely ironic like a turtle animal form. I could roleplay being anxious, cowardly, and paranoid and shape-shift into a turtle to retreat into my shell when scared. I think Lycanthropy also can communicate with their on animal species which I doubt I would find another turtle to ask questions. Also in my hybrid form I could have an AC+1 but have my movement speed drastically reduced.) I could elaborate on this all day but I would rather hear your opinion on the idea before I clutter your thread.

My other ideas consist of common monsters from the monster manual that would require no LA. (Much like a goblin or a kobold, although not those races in particular).

Feel free to suggest something, I just want to have fun with my character rather than being hung up over stat rolls and feats.

A were-turtle. I like the sounds of that. Roll up stats and submit it and we can go from there. It can be more of a curse than a helpful thing.

Okay I am not positive if you wanted me to roll up stats for a class or if I was taking animal classes (so I used a monk seeing as it would work with natural weapons, and not give me a bunch of unneeded feats, But perhaps druid would be better fitted?) I tried to roll so I am not overpowered but wont hinder the party either.

Please feel free to make edits where necessary, I trust your judgment and will play anything provided to me.

Were-Turtle
(Now this is where it gets hard to modify without steping on your toes as the DM, but I'll suggest some ideas and then you can help from there, Especially since I can not home brew a turtle animal to transform into without your guidance.)

- In hybrid or turtle form (gains AC +1,Con +2, Strength -2, -10 speed ?)
- The animal's feats, applicable in any form
- During a full moon I need to roll a will save to see if I can control my hybrid form?
- Hybrid form is small so get the attack bonus etc of a small humanoid?
- All lycanthropes possess damage reduction 10/silver, empathy with animals of their kind, low-light vision, and scent.
- Having lycanthropy is said to confer +2 wisdom, which would translate to +1 on will saves and wisdom-based checks (listen, spot, survival, etc.).

I have never personally had a PC infected with Lycanthropy before, although somone in my group was. And the DM made some edits to the core books to make it more balanced to the rest of the group.

(Whatever else you can edit or add would be great. Seeing as you're the DM I don't want to interfere or complicate your game.)
