The dice roll box is always just below where you input your text. The difference the add reply button makes is it takes you to a dedicated screen with more post options, and more rows with which you can roll dice.

Those are some good rolls. With a dwarf, elf or something else you would have a few super high ability scores. You could make any character and be quite well rounded with those rolls. He'll definitely have his weaknesses, but that is to be expected.
