Oliron, Ryorst and namdar all hit. Eth missed
The Bard is back at town.
The Hill giant reals with pain for the attacks but still manages to get his feet back under him. He looks around at a target to attack and his eyes focus on Namdar. He readies his weapon for an attack.
The giant is not longer prone so you no longer get a +4 attack. He used this round to regain his feet. Next round he will be ready to attack back.
The swordsmen and the dogs will see a second giant moving towards the pass after it heard the cry of the first one and the loud of it hitting the ground. It has its club out and at the ready. It will be two melee rounds before it is at the pass.
Oliron swings and strikes the giant.
Ryorst swings and strikes the giant.
Namdar swings and misses the giant.
The Hill giant swings and strikes namdar for 22 points of damage.
Namdar falls to the ground gravely wounded.
Eth runs and hides among the trees along the mountain side with her wolf at her side.
The second giant is crossing the valley below the pass where the stones are piled up. It will take it a round to reach the pass. The swordsmen can see a third giant standing at the cave opening. IT has not moved from the cave as of yet.
The mighty giant his hit by both warriors and gives out a mighty yell that is cut short as its life is ended. The giant slumps down and then topples over rolling down the side of the mountain a bit before coming to rest amongst the trees.
What is the parties next move?
The guard dogs and the hired swords are about six melee arounds away from the next giant. They can also see the third giant begin its journey to the pass when it hears the short bellow from the dying giant.
As the second Giant nears the top of the pass the guard dogs leap out to attack it. They did not do much damage to the giant but the giant was ready with his massive club. Two hits and two dogs are down. Before the swordmen jump into the attack. They do some damage to the giant. He is still on his feet.
The third giant sees his friend is under attack and is rushing to aid in the fight.
It takes you two melee rounds to get up to the pass and beyond it where the fighting is taking place. In that time one more dog has been killed. One of the swordmen is also killed.
As you come over the rise you see the sword men and dog in a fight with a hill giant. The hill Giant is yelling in anger as he continues to swing his great club at those attacking him. You see the third giant almost within range of the fight as it hurries along. One more melee round for it.
Ryorst misses with his attack.
Oliron I do not see an attack roll for you.
Eth misses in her attack.
Since leaving Namdar bleeding out he is now dead.

You sound the retreat as you turn to head back down the south slope. Ryorst loads and shoots his cross bow as he retreats striking the giant. The giant hits the last dog killing it with its club. The swordsmen all swing at the giant and you see it go down with a loud moan. The swordsmen then begin to rust towards the top of the pass where Ryorst is.
The third Giant continues your way with a loud battle cry.
While back at town Beasts along with his new friendly monk learn that just this morning that his old companions had headed up into the mountains north of the city to try and rid the town quarry of some pesky Hill giants.
What does the parties wish to do now?
Everyone is making a hasty retreat towards the main quarry were their companion was slain. Oliron is able to lift Namdars body onto his horse and secure it. The remaining hill giant stops at the top of the pass and picks up a rock hurtling it down towards the fleeing members. It hits one of the swordmen killing him instantly as he is smashed between a rock and the side of the mountain. The rock continues to tumble missing the rest of the party.
Ryorsts shot missed badly.
Beast, the monk and the fighter are outside the city headed north. It will take them another full round to get to the main quarry.

You all make it back to Namdars body where Ryorst stops and shoots another bolt again missing badly. The sword men scamper past as another rock flies your way. Ryorst tries to deflect the rock but is hit. He takes 15 points of damage. The hill giant starts down from the pass headed towards the quarry with two rocks in one hand and another ready for throwing.
Oliron and Eth have made it past the quarry where they see a carriage coming up the road a way down the mountain. Oliron can see that it is the carriage that Beast bought before they escorted the caravan.
Ryorst is the only one there by the quarry now as the workers fled when they heard the giants shouts.
