The Giant throws one more rock before he sees you rushing up towards him. The rock hits a swordsman who grunts in some pain but still stands and continues to charge with you. The rock after hitting the swordman rolls into the carriage making it necessary to move the rock to move the carriage.

Round one. Beast hits the Giant causing it some pain. The two swordsmen also hit. Ryorst misses again with his crossbow but he did get closer. Eth missed and Oliron missed. Gra missed as well as did the Monk.

Round two. Beast misses but Oliron hits causing the giant more pain. The giant hits a swordsman killing him. The last swordsman attacks hitting the giant. Rie, Gra, Eth and Ryorst all miss.

Round three - will have to wait till I get more rolls from Oliron.

Round three - Beast attacks and hits along side with Oliron. Eth hits the giant with a rock that distracts him a bit but he still hits Oliron with a glancing blow. Oliron take 17 points damage. That little rock kept the giant from his second attack. The swordsman hits the giant too. Rie, Gra and Ryorst all miss.

Round four - Beast and Oliron both miss but the swordman hits. Rie, Gra and Eth all miss. Ryorst hits with a well placed shot. The Giant hits Gra with one attack for 19 points damage and the swordsman killing them both.

Round Five - Oliron hits the giant with all others missing. The giant misses Oliron barely but hits Beast for 16 points damage.

Round Six - Rie hits the giant with a nice kick and Oliron hits the giant. Ryorst finishes him off with another well placed bolt. The Giant lets out a groan as it collapses to the ground.

What is the party going to do now?

The trip back the the village is long and quiet as each of the party members reflect on the friends they have lost. When you get back in town the city council gives each surviving party member the 100 gold as promised.

The following characters earn 1,540 points each: Oliron, Ryorst, and Eth. Rie and beast both earn 750 experience points. None of you get any experience for the second giant as the dogs and hired swords took it out.

With the wand and spells it will take a good day for you all to recover and prepare to head back out. IF any have leveled up please post in the character development thread your new hit points, skill levels and feats if any.

You find a priest who says he can raise them but he demands 5,000 gold each. IF you do not wish to pay this he will assist you in the ceremony of burring the dead and sending them on their way for 25 gold each. If you wish to place them in the ground the plot in the local cemetery costs 200 gold each. The city has a law in place that says a cleric or a druid must be present at a funeral pyre or burial of any who has passed to the great beyond.

Make sure to note the money spent out of the characters money.

The group heads back out the north gate traveling up to the quarry. You have no problems making it to the quarry or even the the top of the pass. Looing across to the next mountains you can see a hole in the side of the mountain that has to be the cave of the giants. Taking the trail down and then back up you arrive at the cave. From what you can see it looks like a normal cave save for the stench of some rotting meat. You see that the cave goes back a full 30 feet before turning to the left. There seems to be a hide of some type hanging over the back of the cave where it turns.

I need to know who is going in the cave. I need to know party order and what they are doing. Especially if any spells or other items are being used.

Ryorst slowly moves into the cave trying to be silent with Oliron following him. The dim light of the cave makes seeing hard the farther in you get. Ryorst steps on a few bones breaking them loudly. He thinks he hears something moving about behind the hanging skin.

Ryorst swipes at the hide a couple times before he is able to hit it and cause a tear in it. The hide parts but still covers the hole. Looks like there is something at the bottom holding it in place.

Who is going to move up and open the flap?

Ryorst steps up and sticks his head into the cut he made looking to see what he can see. Too bad the flap cuts out all other light and he is peering into almost total blackness. What was that that just brushed across his face?

Ryorst and the others do not hear any response from anything behind the flap. But you can here something moving behind the flap. Almost sounds like bones rattling.
