Avan Roll a knowledge nature check to see if you can identify the prints made. If you show the prints to others they can make the same roll to see if they can identify the prints.

The party heads east staying on the north side of the road. The road curves to the south east. The party heads into a deeper part of the forest. They can stay close to the road or keep going deeper into the wilderness away from the road.

Avan examines the tracks closer and sees what looks like a large cows prints. Think back the only thing he can think that leaves these type of tracks in a Minotaur. According to the tracks there is at least two of them.

Krstens bird when you spot it through the trees is still keeping to the north side of the road and not showing any signs of danger on the north side of the road. IT will still not cross to the south side.

You continue to head east making your way through the forest. At times the trees are thick and you wind you way around. During these times you can not see the hawk. You finally come to a small clearing. You see the trees are thinner here and there is a small stream running through. Looking up you see the hawk still circling above not alerting to anything. You can not longer see the road.

You turn north and follow the stream tp its source. IT takes a few hours of weaving in and out of trees ans you slowly make you way up hill. Soon you come to a big clearing with a nice sized pond of water. The water is clear but as it gets deeper in the middle you can not see the bottom. You can see different animals off in the woods around the pond who come for a drink. To walk around the pond would take one almost a hour. You can see the hawk it is still circling lazily above you alerting to no danger. The time now is getting late in the day.

The night passes with no issues. Watching the lake you can see a few ripples here and there like there may be something large deeper in the water but nothing shows itself. The woods stay quiet too just the normal comings and going of normal game animals, a few wolves and a cougar pass by but they give you a wide berth.

Deciding to head back to the road and where Avan found the tracks you turn back south and head back to where where Avan left his arrow. Since it was beside the road not far from the barricade it takes you the better part of the day to arrive back to where you started.
The hawk continues to fly in lazy circles when you can see it. As you get closer to the roadway it once again refuses to fly south of the road. During the day it does bring in a couple rabbits that it found and killed. You see nothing but a few common woodland animals during your trip back.

You set up camp not far from the barricade and not far from where you made camp before. Avan looks at the tracks again. He sees them crossing the road and continuing south. Following them a bit he sees they still head almost due south There is a new set of tracks that were not there the day before. The tracks are not anywhere close to the stream. The stream was found as you went deeper into the woods moving east away from the road and the tracks. Krustens bird will still not cross the road to the south.

The night passes without much trouble. You do hear the sounds of wolves, and other scavengers fighting for the meals that were left in the forms of hobgoblins and bugbears. The scavengers do not get too close to your camp but they do scope it out.

Avan is able to follow the tracks and with Champ and Albrecht helping they make good progress south. As you get farther south you hear what sounds like a dull roar ahead. The closer you get the louder it gets. After about a hour and almost when the sun is at its meridian height you come to the edge of the trees and see ahead of you a large pool of water. To the east a large waterfall feeds this pool and the the south across the expand of the pool is a start of a river heading south and west. The sound of the water fall makes it hard to hear anything around you. I will need fresh spot and listen checks from everyone. Krustens hawk will refuse to fly once you crossed the road and will sit on a perch or her shoulder. (Note all hunting birds do come with a hood when purchased for when they are not actively patrolling or hunting).
