Dark Druid says...

Avan brings up the rear behind Krusten, Nosaj and the ranger, but he of course loses sight of them, so can only estimate that he's at the back of the scouting party.
This time his shield is on and smokestick ready to throw in the other hand. The smoke should make it obvious to the others that something's going down.

Out of Character: Krusten, not just the boots, but Dexterity modifier as well.

Avan Ohek Results:
  • Hide on D20 (+5): 22 (1 roll)
  • Move Silently on D20 (+10): 17 (1 roll)
  • Spot on D20 (+8): 22 (1 roll)
  • Listen on D20 (+8): 16 (1 roll)
  • Cat Hide on D20 (+16): 25 (1 roll)
  • Cat Move Silently on D20 (+8): 16 (1 roll)
  • Cat Spot on D20 (+3): 9 (1 roll)
  • Cat Listen on D20 (+3): 6 (1 roll)

The Third says...

In Character: Zork sees the ranger and finds out the archers have fled suspicion erupts in his mind - did he warn them? He returns to the war wagon and tells the driver to get the horses ready to pull the war wagon and move out. Zork rides and looks for a place for the wagon to travel easily as well as survey the area from the vantage point of the hill.

Out of Character: Dungeon Master, since there is no map I think if you can describe the area beforehand then it will save us having to ask each time.

Born Free says...

Krusten gets to the top and simply comments, "Now that's no fun. The little rats ran off before I could get to use my little bow. She sends her birdie in flight saying, "Find something good to shoot."

Out of Character: Hard to describe the area. Think of a forest that at times becomes a little thinner as it get closer to rocky outcrops and hill tops that may have been used as a look out and some trees felled for views and fire wood.

The Third says...

In Character: Zork orders the wagon forward; up the hill and then down again. He will state, "There is only one trail out of here for the wagon so I will have my driver follow that, but this time I'm going to be part of the scouting activity. I should be able to cover a lot of ground fast with my horse."

Zork rides ahead and fast so he cannot be easily shot at as a fast moving target. His mission is to detail the trail / road ahead and the terrain. If he is attacked he will turn around and inform everyone after marking the spot.

Zork III Results:
  • Spot on D20 (+4): 6 (1 roll)
  • Listen on D20 (+4): 22 (1 roll)

The Wild Whisper says...

Seeing Zork ride off, Albrecht is worried and hops on Champ to chase after him. Champ isn't quite as fast, but is able to keep close enough for the most part. Albrecht figures the plan is to either catch the bandits (Which seems unlikely) or surprise the next ambush. Either way he is prepared to fight.

Specific Actions:He will follow Zork and if Zork needs assistance, Albrecht will jump in to fight.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Spot on D20 (+3): 10, 15 (2 rolls)
  • Albrecht Listen on D20 (+7): 13, 25 (2 rolls)
  • Champ Spot on D20 (+5): 19, 20 (2 rolls)
  • Champ Listen on D20 (+5): 17, 15 (2 rolls)
