The Wild Whisper says...

Getting up the next morning, Albrecht breaks camp and gets ready to move out. Being at the back of the pack, he's one of the last to notice the burning wagons. He joins everyone else as they warily try to determine what happened to the wagons and where these rocks could have come from.

Out of Character: The survival check from Champ is to sniff for any enemies or other unnatural smells that may be around the area. I have all his skill points here, but understand if the burning wagons add an environmental modifier that is not included here.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Spot on D20 (+4): 5 (1 roll)
  • Albrecht Listen on D20 (+8): 17 (1 roll)
  • Champ Spot on D20 (+5): 14 (1 roll)
  • Champ Listen on D20 (+5): 16 (1 roll)
  • Champ Survival on D20 (+1): 19 (1 roll)

The Third says...

Zork rubs his chin.

"Could this be from a catapult or dropped from above?"

He sees this as a warning sign that anything could happen from here on out.

Out of Character: Besides the road to the mountains what is to the east and west?

Zork III Results:
  • Spot on D20 (+1): 17 (1 roll)
  • Listen on D20 (+1): 12 (1 roll)

Dark Druid says...

"No, not catapults," Avan says in a grave tone. "There are no track but we have large footprints. I fear the creatures that did this work - they might be giants - or worse."

"Let's hope they took what they needed from this raid before us. With luck, they won't bother us."

Out of Character: So both the road and the tracks head north? That is, is there a pass in the mountains that the road heads into?

Avan Ohek Results:
  • Spot on D20 (+9): 25 (1 roll)
  • Listen on D20 (+9): 17 (1 roll)
  • Cat Spot on D20 (+4): 12 (1 roll)
  • Cat Listen on D20 (+4): 16 (1 roll)
