The Wild Whisper says...

Being at the back of the group, Albrecht is one of the last to spot the spiders approaching, but as Zork takes off in a charge, and Krusten starts firing at the monsters, Albrecht freezes. He should not be so afraid of spiders, but they have always creeped him out. Without really meaning to, Albrecht is too paralyzed to act immediately. Without orders, Champ just takes an offensive stance and starts growling.

Out of Character: Albrecht is delaying on the first round, until either a few of the spiders go down or he is jarred into action by being under attack.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Initiative on D20 (+3): 17 (1 roll)
  • Champ Initiative on D20 (+2): 3 (1 roll)

Dark Druid says...

Avan puts his shield away (AC: 16) and draws his bow firing until his allies are in melee contact. Then he rides up, saying "No tactics? Couldn't we have formed a defensive line?" He also tries to identify exactly what kind of spider this is and what sort of poison it carries, sharing this information.

Once he is also in melee, he uses his quarterstaff to attack.

The Wild Whisper says...

Albrecht sees everyone else being so brave, and he curses himself. He hates seeing his friends wounded, and they manage to bring down 2 of the cursed monsters before he gathers himself. Before he can get ready to attack though one them lunges and bites him on his upraised arm. Albrecht allows himself to roll of Champ with the spiders lunge, so that he is now on the ground, and Champ is free to attack without worrying about him. Albrecht yells as he and Champ attack the spider that bit him. Albrecht takes a five foot step to get into flanking position relative to Champ and then attacks the spider with his quarterstaff, swinging as hard as he can. If he can manage to take down his attacking spider, Albrecht will cast Shillelagh and then attack the next closest spider.

Out Of Character: Sorry for him freezing, but I figure characters are more interesting when they have flaws. I should have posted some attacks though so he wasn't frozen for 4 rounds. The 1d4 damage is in case it takes a couple of rounds to take down the spider he is attacking first. The final 1d8 are for after he casts Shillelagh (Which makes his quarterstaff a +1 weapon, so you'll have to add that too).

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Fort Save on D20 (+7): 23 (1 roll)
  • Albrecht Attack on D20 (+4): 15, 18, 12, 5 (4 rolls)
  • Albrecht Damage -small on D4 (+3): 4, 4, 4 (3 rolls)
  • Albrecht Damage -large on D8 (+4): 7, 6 (2 rolls)
  • Champ Attack on D20 (+3): 23, 16, 19, 19 (4 rolls)
  • Champ Damage on D6 (+2): 6, 4, 6, 4 (4 rolls)
