Avan will threaten them instead of surrendering, "Stay right where you are or you will die!" He speaks in Goblin and tries to be loud enough so the party can hear where he is.
He pulls out his quarterstaff ready to strike back at any who approach. Mister Fluffles hisses at them and readies his full attack.
Albrecht continues from the side of the road, moving up to flank to the side of Avan's voice. Champ follows just beside him. As he moves, Albrecht casts shillelagh as he moves, ready to fight. He will try to approach in a flanking position to whichever direction Champ attacks from, as Champ will leap with a bite attack as soon as the monster comes into view.
Out of Character:Champ will attempt to trip the hobgoblin (Or whoever else joins) every time he bites (Successfully), so there is a strength check included too called Champ Trip. The spot and listen are to find the enemy in the fog and approach from a flanking position. Albrecht's attack includes the shillelagh spell.
Out of Character: If Faerydae is back where the original party is then she will stay there until the fog clears and she can see what is going on or someone calls for her help.
Out of Character: Just to confirm, you say my first roll of 16 is a miss? I know my second roll is a clear miss.
Zork turns his head in the direction of the horn and then back at the party… "Quick, here is a plan. While there is still some fog lets move them off the side of the road to a good vantage point. Then when they come looking we can rain arrows on them."
Zork dismounts and drags the bodies quickly then mounts his horse and goes over to the side of the road to await whomever is coming.
Knowing he would be of little aid in dragging the bodies, Lukas instead keeps an eye out for more surprises. After, he looks for a place where he can affect those on the road with his abilities, but they would have a hard time shooting or reaching him in turn. He is unmounted for the sake of establishing a connection with the earth, but retains a firm grip on his mule's bridle.
As he doesn't have any kind of ranged weapon on hand, Albrecht helps drag the bodies and finds a place to hide off to the side, where he can cast entangle on the enemies that show up. He will aim for the middle of a pack of enemies to entangle as many of them as possible without hitting any of his teammates. He tells Champ to stay, so that he won't rush to attack until he is released.
Out of Character: If it looks like anyone is planning on staying in the road to meet the oncomers in melee combat, Albrecht will tell his plan to use entangle and encourage them to wait until the spell is done, so they don't get caught in it.
After entangling the enemies, Albrecht will go attack anyone who wasn't caught in the spell. Since he has woodland stride, he should be able to make it through the thick forest on either side of the road with no problem (Or even if this area has been logged to be thin forest, still no problem). He will tell Champ to guard him, so that Champ won't go more than 5 feet from him until they engage in combat. Then he shouldn't get entangled. Again Champ will be trying to trip with his attacks.
