"From here a smokestick will only obscure our aim," Avan replies, refusing the request. "Let's just hope he doesn't get himself instantly killed. We need him out of the cave."
Aliana gasps as Zotk's body splashes into the pond. She looks at the others with a frown on her face. " Is he… dead? If he isn't he soon will be. He will drown in that heavy armor. I don't have the strength to pull him out. Is what did that coming out? " She eyes the ledge again.
"Verdammt, that fool is getting himself killed. Quickly, help me get him out!"
Retrieving a length of silk rope from his pack, the psion runs over to the side of the pool, drawing his mule along with him. Tying one end of the rope to the saddle, he'll explain to any who come, "If someone can swim to him and wrap the rope around them both, the mule can pull you out swiftly."
Lukas would go himself, but doesn't trust his ability to swim to the drowning warrior efficiently. In the event hostiles appear from behind the waterfall, he'll retreat again.
Albrecht sees Zork get thrown into the water, but is helpless to act. He knows that while he is a decent swimmer, with his current armor, he would never make it, and there isn't time to get out of and back into the armor before facing whatever did that to Zork. He calls out "Avan can you summon anything to help him? I can't swim in all this armor."
Krusten's eyes opens in amazement as Zork falls into the water. "What the… " she says as she rises to her feet. She is also amazed to see the timid Faerydae bravely go in after him. She looks on as rope is obtained but she feels helpless about the rescue… instead she goes around the pond near the waterfall and aims so should anything come through they will take some of her arrows.
Avan breathes in and sighs deeply. "Anything I summon won't instinctively rescue him. I won't be able to order it around." He makes a mental note to learn more elemental languages starting with Aquan and Auran.
He decides it's best to copy Faerydae - dive back in and try to cure him. Hopefully the waterfall doesn't suck them both under.
