Avan is surprised by the effort it takes to pull away from the currents and how quickly he needs to take another breath. He keeps trying to break the surface, but if it starts hurting too much he'll start searching his pack for his potion of water breathing.

  • Reflex on D20 (+3): 7 (1 roll)
  • Swim on D20 (+1): 5, 10, 7 (3 rolls)

The Wild Whisper says...

Albrecht fancies himself the group healer with both Avan and Faerydae in the water after Zork. As such he is prepared to cast a healing spell should Zork make it to land without anybody else (Or any other member make it to land alone and appear to need healing). He tries to keep an eye on the waterfall, so he doesn't get shot by whatever shot the weird crystal thing as well. Champ is sniffing the air and watching the waterfall carefully as he seems to know that danger lurks behind it.

Out of Character: In response to Krustens Out of Character: question (In the Dungeon Master thread): I am fine with the Dungeon Master rolling for whatever if he needs more and let's say 24 hours have passed without the person responding. I don't think the Dungeon Master is going to have any better or worse luck rolling on here than I will.
Icon, you are having a pretty bad string of luck with those rolls.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Spot on D20 (+8): 17 (1 roll)
  • Albrecht Listen on D20 (+4): 16 (1 roll)
  • Champ Spot and Listen on D20 (+5): 12, 12 (2 rolls)

Healer says...

Faerydae would have healed Zork as soon as she was able as getting him conscious would enable him to get himself out of the water using his own strength.

Faerydae Results:

As Zork makes it to shore, observing that Faerydae and Albrecht seem to have it in hand, Lukas retrieves his rope from the fallen warrior and hurries downstream with his mule to render similar aid to Avan as the druid is carried away by the water, glancing nervously back at the waterfall as he goes.

Born Free says...

Krusten shouts, "There is something behind there" with hand extended and index finger pointing towards the waterfall.

"Quick, someone heal Zork and get him back, I'll cover you." Krusten remains guard to see if something will come through. She won't move from there until Zork goes back or is fully healed.

4Even if she can't get a good shot she takes some regular arrows and starts firing them at the waterfall hoping to get the attention of whatever is there.

Out of Character: Not sure if I get a bonus on damage for regular arrows but left it out in case not.

Krusten Results:
  • Special bow on D20 (+9): 17, 18, 28, 27, 17, 14 (6 rolls)
  • Regular arrows on D6 (+0): 3, 1, 4, 6, 6, 3 (6 rolls)

Dark Druid says...

Avan hopes the current doesn't carry him too far so he swims harder. In the worst case, he just has to stay afloat and walk out at the ford one day north.

Mr Fluffles prowls along the riverbank, still unwilling to jump in.
