Born Free says...

"I do not think I have ever been away from rest so long and yet resting" says Krusten as she awaits the party to move forward. "Shall we go now?"

Out of Character: If everything is packed and ready to go then Krusten will take position right behind Zork. If they are still fiddling then Krusten will do her own scouting but at a greater range (10 miles). In both instances she sends her birdie up to see what's out there.

Krusten Results:
  • Spot, listen on D20 (+0): 4, 20 (2 rolls)

Bastion was out and about almost from the crack of dawn, double checking everything, and getting the horses set up with the sleds.

As people gather he'll say, "If that is everything, I suggest we move out."

As described before, he'll take position near the head of the column, ready to deal with any threats.

Out of Character: We are headed back to town by whatever route seems most convenient yes?

The Wild Whisper says...

Albrecht helps as he is able and rests the night before, knowing the next day might be slow and tedious. Who knows when the next restful sleep they might get will be. The town isn't too far away, but with all the gear they are towing, it will take much longer to reach it. Hopefully the group has cleared all the threats on their their way here, but invariably something will happen, as seems to be their luck.

The next morning Albrecht gets up early and communes with nature just outside the mouth of the cave in the trees and bushes. Afterwards he returns, looking refreshed and ready to face the day. He helps Bastion make the final arrangements, and agrees "I am ready to move out too."

Albrecht takes up position scouting ahead, as all the horses will be loaded down and unable to react quickly should any danger lurk ahead. Hopefully between him and Champ they can spot danger and warn the others without being caught unawares themselves.

Out of Character: How many horses are burdened with sleds? If it is not all of them, then which ones are burdened and which ones are free? It'll matter later if something attacks us and we have to respond quickly.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Spot on D20 (+8): 23, 18, 16 (3 rolls)
  • Albrecht Listen on D20 (+4): 10, 16, 7 (3 rolls)
  • Champ Spot and Listen on D20 (+5): 16, 7, 25, 21, 16, 6 (6 rolls)

The Third says...

Zork surveys the area then turns to face the group and comments to the party "We have a lot of gear and items that will both slow us and make us a target. Do we aimlessly look for a some established place or head back? Maybe I will scout first if you hold up here."

Zork goes to the top of the hill and tries to find some kind of civilization. If necessary he will climb a tree too.

Zork III Results:
  • Climb on D20 (+4): 5 (1 roll)
  • Spot on D20 (+1): 18 (1 roll)
  • Listen on D20 (+1): 5 (1 roll)

Ildrahil says little as he takes up a position at the rear of the party, performing rear guard duties. Every few steps he looks back to see if he spots anything strange or dangerous.

Out of Character: Ildrahil takes his position as rear guard.

Once her birdie isn't doing anything significant she will call her back for a rest and snack. Krusten keeps her eyes on the surroundings. She doesn't like the idea of being so heavy laden with stuff.

Krusten Results:
  • Spot, listen on D20 (+0): 13, 3 (2 rolls)

Bastion is ready to keep going for a good while, but he understands that the horses will likely need rest soon. He is keeping an eye out for suitable camp sites.

Out of Character: At least presuming there isn't competition for the things, Bastion would seek to pick up a MW longsword and longbow from the stash Kn mentioned for his own arsenal.
