Dark Druid says...

Avan thanks Bastion, "This is quite a lifelike carving you've made. I'll wear it with pride - though it would look better in black."

Back in town, Avan tries to haggle an Amulet of Health for 15,434 gold, 4 silver, 6 copper and a clear gem, blue gem, amber gem, down from its usual cost of 16,000. It's his entire savings apart from a 150 gp share in the wand fund.

He also commissions some Potions of Darkvision if available and an artist to paint the panther statuette and make it a necklace.

You are able to haggle an agreement and commission a couple potions of dark vision. The cost for the potions will be 350 gold per potion. Having a necklace made after the carving is painted black will cost you a total of 2 gold.

Dark Druid says...

Buying the amulet, Avan puts it on and already feels calmer and safer.

He borrows money from Bastion to buy a potion and pay for the painting. He profusely thanks the brewer and artist in turn. He's now out of gold.

Dark Druid says...

Out of Character: I think we're almost ready head up. Just a few more to buy potions - do they have to mention it in this topic?

In Character: Before leaving the wizard, Avan mentions that we're waiting for the right phase of the moon to arrive at the fort before the darkest night of the month - a new moon. He suggests for her to go to the potion brewer, and learn how to cast Darkvision, or perhaps copy it into scroll from, or buy a potion.

The Wild Whisper says...

Albrecht has a few coins left and decides to buy 2 potions of Darkvision as well. He will hold them in reserve for the group, to see who might use it and when to the best effect. As Krusten has shown little interest in the wagon, Albrecht then looks into getting the wagon ready to go again. He will inquire into a driver/caretaker for the animals and the feed/supplies neccessary to make a journey to the fort and back (With at least a 4 day leeway of staying around the fort).

Out of Character: : Albrecht had 921 GP left after his other purchases. He used 700 to buy two potions of darkvision, and the final 100 of the remaining he uses to find and hire a driver in addition to supplies for the horses.

In Character: Ildrahil is excited to get started but he understands the need to tune this right. As the day to leave approaches he feels the tension build inside him. This will be his first mission with his new found companions. Mayhaps not friends yet, mayhaps so. But companions nonetheless and to whom he owes a life debt.

Out of Character: Okay, are we ready to go?

Bastion purchases a pair of Darkvision potions as well, handing one off to Ildrahil. He also gives the female mage her initial fee.

After that, he'll occupy his time while the group waits for the mage to be readied.

The group would inquire after the next night with expected heavy cloud cover, and/or when the next new moon was expected. (Basically looking for a few nights in which even low light vision wouldn't be of much help)

Out of Character: I think we are ready, I can't help but feel that we're missing something, but I always get that feeling for things like this.

As the group discussed their plans and the number of days to get to the fort Ildrahil hears the recommendation they leave a few days hence. Ildrahil recommends they leave a day or two early. "If all goes perfectly we shall arrive on the designated day. Aye, but when does all go perfectly. Mayhaps we should leave a day or two early in the event we meet something unforeseen along the road. We could slow down when near we approach to remain unknown."
