Out of Character: Bastion would likely approach it by bringing up a series of scenarios and requesting her solution to the same. Such as 'a large group of hostiles are approaching', 'we need to bypass a sealed door quietly', or 'something has gone wrong, and the group needs a fast exit'
The idea being not only to get a sense of what kind of spells her repertoire consists of, but how she approaches challenges that might occur. Particularly watching for approaches that might get allies killed so they can be corrected if need be.
If she's receptive to advice, he'd generally advocate strategies that minimize the advantage held by the enemy. Buffs that improve her allies' ability to work, disabling or damaging AOE spells in response to grouped enemies, spells that limit movement used at choke points. Etc. He may not know much about spellcraft, but he knows the advantages such can bring.
Albrecht takes up position from the back of Krama next to the warwagon. He keeps a wary eye out for any danger and listens as Bastion pries the mage for strategies. He may not be one for much direct combat, but he is wise enough to figure out how best to use skills in a given situation.
Out of Character: Final confirmation, we are only bringing the warwagon with us. I am happy with the marching order that Daishain mentioned.
As a reminder to everyone don't forget to give your mounts their listen and spot checks too.
Avan compliments Deanna on her choice of colour as we set off. He's happy to take a position a few feet ahead of the wagon and to the side opposite Albrecht. Fluffles will be ahead, beside Bastion.
Albrecht notices the man ahead of them and instantly signals the driver to slow down. He tells the driver to stay behind with the others, while he and Bastion check out what is going on. He spurs Krama to move ahead and as he comes next to Bastion says "We need to investigate and see if this man is alright, but I have seen traps laid like this before as well. Using a lame duck to catch prey off balance. Let's be wary." He then moves forward with Bastion and calls out "Hey you! Do you need help? What happened?" Since the man is walking, Albrecht doesn't think his wounds are immediately life threatening.
Out of Character: Sorry to volunteer you Bastion, but you are out in front a relatively strong melee-er. Krusten and Avan have some ranged options to back us up if it gets hairy.
Spot and listen checks are for any other people around in case this is a trap.
"Agreed, I dislike this" Bastion spurs Arion ahead slowly, shifting the Rod into lance form.
He alternates between studying the apparently wounded man, and watching for signs of anyone else about.
If he does anything aggressive, Bastion is prepared to skewer him.
Out of Character: Attempting to ascertain whether the wounds are a sham or not. Readied action to poke real holes in the man if it becomes obvious he is a threat somehow.
And no problem on the volunteering, I was just about to post something similar.

Ildrahil hears the commotion up front and immediately goes on alert. He knows they are getting very close to their destination. He scans the flanks and rear for any sign of trouble. He looks to Krusten, "What are your instructions?"
