Avan knows Albrecht has the same ability to heal, so goes to fetch rations from one of the chests of holding instead. He brings them to the man and encourages him to eat and drink from his waterskin.
Krusten looks at her birdie to ensure there is no one else around at first… that it isn't a trap. She gets down from her horse and says to the man, "I can help you but you will need to be my servant… do you agree?" She pulls out one of her potions and dangles it in front of the man.
"Krusten, that is cruel. You know a desperate man will grab any help he can get." He turns to the man, "Don't worry, Albrecht will get you healed up. You don't have to take the potion if you don't want to."
Krusten looks at Avan with slant face, she looks as though she could put two arrows through him but instead puts away the potion and returns to her horse.
After the man gets help, Bastion says, "The road between here and town is clear as of our recent passage. It should be safe enough to travel there alone."
"Resting with us this evening would be acceptable to me, though I would suggest parting ways in the morning, danger lies along our path."
Albrecht looks the man over as he responds and see that he is indeed gravely injured. He casts Cure Minor Wounds and says "That should get you bound up for now and prevent you suffering any further damage. I did not prepare many healing spells this morning." He then pulls Bastion and Avan aside to discuss how much assistance to give this man.
"Is it better to use our wand of cure light wounds as we have 200 castings of it, or should I just prepare a healing spell tomorrow to heal him up some more in the morning when we send him on his way?" he asks the group in a hushed voice.
He keeps glancing around expecting there to be more to this man than just what is in front of them.
