Just so I know I have this correct. You are leaving the wagon empty at the hill top away from the hill top the attack and the stronghold over look it at? You are all going back to the hilltop where you can watch the stronghold without the wagon but taking all mounts, the horse team from the wagon and all the chests you had in the wagon correct? The wagon driver is coming with you or leave him at the wagon? I will need search, spot, and listen checks for those who are watching the stronghold.

Out of Character: Leaving the wagon at hilltop #2, going off of the road and into the woods with everything and everyone, driver included, and getting as close to the fort as we can expect to get without being detected, as sneakily as can be managed with such a group. Making camp at the best hidden spot we can find in the area, and sending 1 or 2 people at a time a little further on to watch the fort.

That answer the question?

Ok you will be almost to the bottom of the hill where the woods end before the road makes it to the bottom of the hill and then continues up onto the causeway and over towards the fort. From where you are camping you can not see over the walls but you can hear some of the occasional yells or people inside the stronghold now and then. These are friendly yells like one guy taunting another or asking a woman for a certain favor.

Adding the search roll for Ildrahil with this post. I already have spot and listen in my last post.

Krusten follows along apprehensively looking around for 'something' worthwhile. She is not sure she likes how the party is going about this but not having a better plan of her own she remains silent thinking only on vengeance for her birdie.

Krusten Results:
  • Spot / listen on D20 (+0): 16, 9 (2 rolls)
  • Horse spot / listen on D20 (+5): 13, 22 (2 rolls)

The Wild Whisper says...

Albrecht has tried to talk reason to the group, and thinks he has gotten through, but Krusten and Ildrahil still seem very hot-blooded. Bastion seems eager, but willing to listen. They could attack tonight, but it would be lesser odds that they pull off a successful attack than if they wait for the next night, when he and Avan can prepare all the spells needed.

Out of Character: ICon mentioned that Avan had a pass without trace spell he was willing to use to try to hide where the group goes off the path at, making it harder to find us. He isn't here to say so, but we have discussed it many times in the Party Thread. I think he mentioned it here once. I don't want to force his character to do something he doesn't want, but just passing along information. I will make a search check for Albrecht, but I think Krama would use more Survival to sense her environment than searching.

Albrecht Results:
  • Albrecht Spot on D20 (+9): 22 (1 roll)
  • Albrecht Listen on D20 (+10): 22 (1 roll)
  • Krama Spot and Listen on D20 (+4): 9, 10 (2 rolls)
  • Albrecht Search on D20 (+3): 23 (1 rolls)
  • Krama Survival on D20 (+1): 20 (1 rolls)

"Unless they have some other reason to celebrate, they apparently think they've driven us off. That should play in our favor."

Bastion will encourage a constant watch on the fort through nightfall, and will keep an eye out around the camp itself. He won't approach the treeline himself for now, knowing he can be spotted much more easily than the others.

In Character: "They laugh at us, now is the time to attack when they least expect it. If this magic user can get us in there we can assault them til there is no more laughing."

Krusten, not knowing much about magic looks at the hired magician to see if Krusten can be some how hoisted, teleported or sent into the stronghold.
