"The deal is already made, so we don't need to charm him, I am sure either of you would do fine. Let us get this over with, that coin would be of great use."
Bastion will join the others in making their way to the office of the Chancellor.
"I'll take the lead, then," Avan declares. "I would still watch what I say. They tend to be more fickle the higher up their rank. At some point they can get away with anything. What we need is some leverage."
At the chancellor's request, Bastion moves to the chest, checking the quality of a few random coins before estimating their number. He won't make everyone sit through him counting to 100,000, instead counting out a handful of coins and estimating how many of that handful would fit in the volume provided. He'll double check his estimate if it gives a number that is off in either direction by more than 5k.
When done, presuming nothing is out of place, he will nod to the chancellor and his companions before heading back to stand at the rear of the room again.

If you count them you will come to find out there is exactly 100,000 PP in the chest. No more and no less. (They had four different people double check the count before placing in the chest. If the count was off they would not be lasting long.) If you just do a quick estimate then you will figure out there is around 100,000 PP in the chest. Either way the chancellor will wait as you take you time to count or estimate.
Albrecht stays quite in the group, watching Bastion count and estimate. When Bastion finally finishes and gives his approval, Albrecht will nod and sign the paper as requested and go stand back with the rest. He purposefully lets Avan be the only one to talk while they are in the room.
Avan is relatively unfazed by the hoard of wealth. He lost the desire he once had to keep accumulating it. Now it was a means to an end.
"Thank you for the opportunity to sell, we had no use for it," Avan admits. "I wish you the very best and hope you put it to good use. May it serve the needs of all your citizens, not just soldiers and nobles, but all your common folk too."
Avan takes the quill and adds his signature to the papers.
With that done, Bastion will take the chest and withdraw along with the party. Once a secluded area is found, he'll help count out equal shares of the platinum coins.
"Let us go to the market and hunt for useful things. Keep an ear out for anything that may be of interest for our next mission"
Bastion will hunt around for good equipment and skilled enchanters. He will also put his limited skills to use hunting for rumors of trouble, or even just troubled places likely to need the party's brand of assistance.
