Looking at Rivoril; I smile," You may be right about that. We could see what say a weeks worth of rations might run us and a couple more water skins of water. Then see about heading south to meet up with the group. What are your thoughts?"
Out of Character: Sorry KN. I was not thinking that it did, but I guess it actually does so.
Bastion will suggest continuing to stay out of clear view of the watchers. No need to make things easy for them.
They'll circle around the gnoll's basecamp, looking for frequent trails, hidden paths to approach by, and otherwise any means to weaken the Gnolls in general, such as bringing down isolated watchers or ambushing patrols.
He would also be looking for opportunities to lure enemy assets into a bind.

Rivoril, talks to the general store-person.
"Myself, and my companion intend to travel into the desert. Do you sell any desert head gear, or scarves?"
Out of Character: : I'm not sure in Dungeons & Dragons if they have items similar to the Keffiyeh.
Albrecht agrees with the Ranger's assessment and Bation's plan. "We need to stay hidden until we are ready to attack tonight, but we should try to find out as much as we can, so we can escape, if it comes to that." He and Krama help in any way they can to scout and keep a sharp watch (Or nose) for any signs of Gnolls close-by.
I address the shop owner, "I would like to purchase the following: a weeks worth of rations, two water skins and a dessert scarf." Once he gets my items and tells me my total, I will pay for them and tell him thank you." I will then step to the side to wait for my companion to decide what he wishes to do.
Rivoril, also addresses the shop owner, "I would also like to purchase the following please: a weeks worth of rations, two water skins,a desert scarf, set of caltrops, and a spade."
Once he gets his items, with the total owing he will pay for the goods, and thank him.
"How much for a snare and or tripwire?" he adds enthusiastically.
