Rivoril, decides it may be wiser to get on top of the roof of a house.
He gathers up all his gear, and sets himself up near Arilynia. With pot of oil, oil soaked rags, tied to arrows. With a small, lighted candle, to ignite the rags.
Out of Character: Rolled two rounds previously, including one to warn townsfolk. Will include two more here, for setting up in defensive position.
After conferring with Bastion, Avan takes position, mounted, next to the spiked pit trap such that anyone coming from the east would fall in. With him is one of the prisoners, arms and legs bound, blindfolded, and with a rope around his neck, held by Avan.
Bastion and Avan ride out to meet the bandits, a white flag tied to the former's lance.
As they go, Bastion questions the prisoner a little more.
"We intend to offer your friends a chance to break free of the white lady. Your situation will improve dramatically if they agree. Is there anything you can do or tell us to make that outcome more likely?"
Rivoril, prepares to fire at approaching bandits once they are in range. With his composite bow.
Using flaming arrows, due to the increased numbers of them.
Out of Character: will include 4 rounds, will not fire flaming arrows into concealed pit, lined with arrows at the base.
Which, the concealed trap, should be in front of Rivoril, in line of sight.
He will fire on those that avoid the sprung trap.
Upon seeing the number of bandits approaching, Arilynia will take aim at them but keeping in mind that Bastion and Avan are out there as well as the prisoner.
She will shoot her arrows using Point Blank and Rapid Shot.
On seeing the aggressive move from the bandits, Bastion clubs the prisoner hard over the head and leaves him unconscious and still bound. He's not about to let the man slow them down right now.
Pulling out his crossbow, he says to Avan, "If able, this would seem to be a good time for a swarm of bats or something. Let it harass them on the way back to the town."
Wheeling Arion around, the warforged starts riding back to town, firing at any targets that seem likely to catch up with the pair.
Out of Character: Rolling 3 attacks, trying to lure pursuit into Taz's trap without making it obvious Bastion is trying to avoid something there.
Avan casts Bear's Endurance to help him concentrate. He drags the body of the unconscious bandit a few feet as he orders the Jackal to wheel around and head back, but only at a double move pace (120'), not at a run.
He eventually lets go of the rope when next round he changes into the form of a black bear, still riding the jackal as best he can.
It becomes quite a sight when this bear, riding on the jackal, begins waving its arms and growling on the third round as he begins to cast Summon Nature's Ally 3 (Spontaneously replacing Contagion) to summon a small honour of Hippopgriffs.
Fourth round he will cast Summon Nature's Ally 2 (Spontaneously replacing Delay Poison) to summon a small pack of wolves.
Knowing the bandits' mounts are probably untrained, he hopes to throw them into disarray by placing his summoned beasts in a sparse line (About 20' apart) and also to threaten most of the bandits so they must take opportunity attacks to move past. The wolves will, of course, stand in a rough line against the horses that didn't break stride or against those that fill in the gaps made by the previous summon.
If it becomes necessary, Avan urges the jackal to break into a full run (Just tell me which round so I can check my Concentration rolls). It's hard to tell where this happens, because I'm trying to predict multiple rounds in advance with few numbers.
As they close in on the entrance to town, within bow range, Avan will cast Entangle on any that are in or near plants so that it affects as many as possible and creates a large area of difficult terrain.

Now I need to know how many rounds it takes us to get back to town and for the first bandits to arrive, because Avan is starting by casting a few more buff spells on himself and Wild Shaping. In this order and all of which are shared between him and the wolf: Barkskin, Bull's Strength, Magic Fang
This combat is about to get super confusing and into the nitty gritty for me. I may have some unreasonable questions coming up. I am so glad I can do all these calculations in peace and not at the table. It would bog down the game so much.
I awake shaking a bit as I am confused as to where I am before I remember where I am and what I was doing before I sigh to myself and say * I really need to see someone about these blackouts they always hit at the worst times.
