"Well if your going to die from it then I'll die first because I tried it before you did", Lionel says with a smile and a shrug, thinking he did a pretty good job for never cooking before.
After taking a sniff and then a spoonful Pundit makes a nod of approval and then let's his true mind be known.
I'm looking for orc heads. My mace cannot be quenched with our broth, perhaps the little lady will indulge.
"I understand you want to kill orcs, but I think we should wait for Namdar to come up with a plan, and also because we can't just charge in without thinking." Lionel says with an exasperated voice. "So, while everyone tries the soup (and the broth for Krusten), I wish to tell you that story I promised when I got done with dinner." Lionel says with a rueful smile the dark shadow passing over his face one again.

"Let me tell you a story, a story about a young boy, a prince, at the age of 14"¦
The prince was part of a family made up of four members; there was his father, his mother, him, and his younger sister.
The prince's father was known for his bravery and intelligence, respected by his people for his fair hand, and just rule. He was the protector of the kingdom, and his son inspired to be just like him.
The prince's mother was known for her kindness and generous spirit, loved by her people for her wisdom and understanding. She was the judge of the kingdom; many came to her from all over the land for her advice and option.
Then there was the prince's beloved sister, the joy of the entire kingdom. She, though only 11 years old, had already shown great maturity for her age, known for her loving nature, and forgiving heart.
She shares a connection will nature, seemingly able to talk with animals, with plants and trees, even with the wind. She has a great empathy toward others, being able to hear the cries of those that are in lonely or sad, and has innate understanding and compassion for others.
There were others in the prince's life, like the court sorcerer who seemed to show a great interest in the prince, his father's general one of his father's most trusted advisers. And the kingdoms priest, who was the prince, and princess's teacher.
But then this boy's happy life was shattered, the kingdom was attack. By the time his father knew what was happening, more than a third of his army had been destroyed, his people where being slaughtered, then right before the boy's eyes his father was kill, by a lord of the Abyssal Plane. The court sorcerer appeared and carried the prince off, out of danger. All he saw when being brought out of the kingdom was the death of everything he had ever known, of everyone he had ever loved. Latter, on a high mountain he confronted the sorcerer, demanding if he know if anyone else lived. The sorcerer said that the prince's sister had escaped, with her guardian. When the prince asked if he could be taken to her, the sorcerer said no, that they must be kept separate for now. The prince wasn't happy but accepted it for now. The boy grew into a man, growing in the magical arts, but he never forgot his sister and continued to blame himself for what had happened, and how he wasn't there for his beloved sister. One day the young man found a letter on his mentor's desk; it said that his sister's guardian is dead, and that she had walked away with a wolf. The man know he had to find her, and also become strong enough to have vengeance on the lord who killed his father and destroyed everything he had ever cared about, so he set out off his own.
What was this man's name... Lionel Alexander Cortez"

You certainly have a background. I on the other hand have nothing to talk about. I will make my name one day, but not yet.
ooc: Now that we have an update let's get on with this. Where is the fearless leader?
Lionel you are a prince then?
* she looks on for an answer at the same time thinking about what this could mean for her own benefit *
The caravan trip is out of the question if we all need our own transportation so lets go out the gates and into the forests. Perhaps speaking to one of the farmers in the forests will help point us in the direction of the orcs.
"No, Yes, (sighs) I don't know. You tell me, what is a prince without a kingdom in which to protect, to rule? What is a prince without a place to call his own, whose home is now a cursed land? What is a prince without a royal family, who saw his father killed right in front of him? A prince without prestige, without riches, without power?" Lionel asks, his voice slowing rising until it is a yell. "I"¦I"m sorry, I"¦I shouldn't have yelled at you. (Takes a deep breath) I had no right, it just that I have been asking myself this and many other questions for a very long time." Lionel says, becoming calm once again, and his face becomes unreadable. "All I know is that I must become stronger, strong enough that no one will ever suffer because of me again. Also I need to find my sister, and have revenge on the one who destroyed everything I ever cared about, the one who prevented me from seeing my beloved sister grow up, my sister who probably hate me for leaving her alone. " Lionel says the determination clear in his voice as well as sadness. "That is I joined you, not so much because you needed me, then that I needed you." Lionel back to the cooking pots, "I would suggest that everyone have some more soup or broth will need our strength", where he then sits down.

Namdar, swallows a spoonful of "soup", then bows slightly to Lionel, then slaps him on the back, smiling slightly. "You have the heart, and tongue, of a bard, my prince. With the right allies beside us, I believe we can accomplish much we might otherwise never imagine, so approach each new day as one step closer to your goal, because whether you see it at that time or not, you are."
"Now," Namdar segues, clapping his hands and looking around at the group. "I see itchy feet - and empty purses, and have them myself, so believe it is time for us to seek our fortunes, yes? Remember, myself and Skedvic (if available) will take point a bit ahead of the rest of you, and you follow, that way we may approach as stealthily as possible but also have the might to back ourselves up if we are yet somehow surprised. We venture out, I'd say west and north, to see what kind of activity we encounter, and gauge our choices then on the fly, as to when we need to head back or continue on, later." The half-orc casts a glance between the trees to the north, the sky, the party and the town, and nods to himself. "Let us move out, friends." he says simply and leads the way carefully north-northwest into the forest.
* Sipping on more soup and thinking its not bad but she won't tell Lionel that so his ego doesn't grow anymore *
Now let's go to the north so we can be busy cleaning up the surroundings of orc breath.
* She catches her words and then says rather nervously *
No offense to my half-orc friends of course.
