In Character Over hearing Albrecht, Arkanoth says from the back of the wagon. "Yea, that sounds pretty much what I would expect from wild animals. But if they complain about humans in general, do you think they would know where the bandit camp would be? I would assume the bandits hunt the animals for food, and they would have a good idea where not to go. Maybe that could point us in a general direction so we can convince them to stop attacking everything that walks on two legs."
Zork nods while letting out a sigh. "Alright, we shall try another method… " he answers the druid.
Hearing what Arkanoth says makes him look at the druid again but he goes off to do something else not waiting for the answer.
In Character: "That is a good idea, Arkanoth." Albrecht replies. "But I would wait until we get closer to where the bandits are supposed to be. The animals do not roam very far in any given day, and finding any one particular animal to talk to is usually not so easy. We can try tomorrow as we come upon where the bandits are seen more often. Just don't get your hopes up too high."
Out of Character: Would talking to my bird provide anymore useful information besides having her circling above to say something is there?
Out of Character: It doesn't matter now, we know they are orcs but their combat method is strange, they must be impatient or trying to draw us in. In any case those of you in the war wagon with bows can shoot without worrying about being hit.
Avan adds, "Yes, good idea. I can help you with that, Albrecht, and if we need to do it today, the spirits of nature have granted me that ability. I will wait until night in case I need the spell earlier."
Out of Character: Krusten, the hawk may not know the local terrain but after it's done the cricling, it can return and tell us what it saw, how many and where. But the spell only lasts a minute per level.
In Character: Albrecht coaxes Champ back to the wagon to gather with everyone else."What's the plan? I only have this quarterstaff to attack with and Champ can bite. I have a spell prepared that would entangle them, if there were plants around them. I also can increase the damage of my quarterstaff pretty significantly, but it would be hard to get near them enough to attack." He looks to Zork and then to Avan as he speaks.
Avan is shooting, at Zork's command. He is glad to not be in the leadership position, but still provides his bit of input, "Once we're out of arrows, I can form a mist around myself to cover the advance. But I have no mount."
Out of Character: Also the way I'm reading it, Obscuring Mist doesn't move with me, so it's only good for a portion of the advance.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, if you like infinite cantrips, come over to the dark side… I mean Pathfinder.
