Out of Character: I wonder if a trained war horse, if that is the kind of horse the half orc had, could suddenly be willing to follow a new master?
I doubt a large fort like that would be incapacitated by just killing a few males and one female, they probably have at least 100 warriors there.
The prisoner, does anyone have charm person to make him talk?
Avan could prepare Speak With Animals and convince it hopefully. It takes a specific trick to prevent others from using your trained animals.
Yeah, if anything, the others now know they shouldn't come out. Or if they do come out, send a bigger force.
Unfortunately no wizards in the party, and Arkanoth doesn't know the spell. But anyone could use diplomacy or intimidate. He wasn't talking before because he was unconscious.
Out of Character: Krusten, maybe you just tie that horse to the wagon until you can be sure because if it throws you off of it you'll suffer serious injury.
Out of Character: It's only now that it occurs to me… After we avoided the dragon flying overhead, we should have gone back to help any survivors of its attack. Obviously not while the dragon was there.
I wonder if the GM thinks some of us are still in disguise… Avan wasn't, but it's worth mentioning in your post just to avoid confusion.

Out of Character: That's like fretting over spilled milk. The dragon did throw me off, wasn't expecting it. I was selfishly to concern that I would be burnt to a crisp rather than what damage it did to others.
Out of Character: We will need to decide where we want to go and do after leveling up as the town isn't going to help us any. We do not necessarily have to go after the fort, we can still explore the rest of the land. I recommend horses for everyone and leaving the war wagon behind this time. This way we can move faster. What say you?
Out of Character: I went through our 3 encounters (Orcs, archers, last raiding party) and priced all the stuff we found (Assuming we grabbed everything like the greedy adventurers we are). Below is a list of each item, how many we have, and total value. At the end I will show my math and multiply by the 60%. Someone feel free to double check me.

Whew that was a lot to type. Sorry the table doesn't line up straight, it is hard in a non-monofont type to line up everything. This is assuming we sell everything we found. Does anybody need any of this stuff before we sell it? It would be a waste to sell it all and then buy back something similar.
Out of Character: Well, you beat me to it! Many, many thanks and I would have forgotten about the orcs and archers as well…
I would dispute the tiniest detail - that 183 arrows cost 183 gold though. I would expect the price to be just 9 gp.
Avan will claim none of it, but out of character I recommend that if you have Heavy Armor Proficiency (Fighters, Clerics, Paladins it's your first class feature) you should scramble to grab the Splint Mail or Breastplates.
