Out of Character: We are sort of at a standstill at the moment, what is the final plan? Head to the main road and bypass that smaller road that leads to the fort? In any case we need to start moving and can decide that on the way.
Out of Character: I'm for your plan and we don't have enough gold for the flying and levitation so lets see what else there is up the main road first.
Out of Character: I saw the Dungeon Master mention levitation stuff again, you guys have enough gold to pay for that because I sure don't.
Avan was just asking for them to prepare it if/when we come back to town.
For Faerydae, a shortbow is rather weak, only 1d6 damage, but can be used on horseback, unlike a longbow. See, I have to dismount to fire my longbow and I require my Bracers of Archery to even be proficient. Being an Elf you should already be proficient.
However, if you can afford it (~400 gold) a masterwork composite longbow [+0 Strength] can be used on horseback and does 1d8 damage. Being masterwork it also gives a +1 to attack rolls (Not damage) and can be enchanted later.
I'm fine with going north to the next town. Are we just going for information? KNtoran mentioned caravans travel that way, maybe we can trade something and earn a small profit? Maybe we can guard a caravan and get paid?
I also think we can take on the hobgoblins and bugbears to the east, maybe later.
Out of Character: You really want to attach yourself to guarding a caravan when we are ready to get the bigger gold stash? Are we ready to move out now?
Out of Character: Albrecht's ready to roll out. I would say no to guarding the caravan, as we might as well bring along our war wagon, if we are going to go that route. Though the bugbears might be interesting, though mostly just to grind to the next level.
Out of Character: Very much ready. I will place Krusten's action to head for the north avoiding the fortress and not wanting any other duties. So that is a "No" to the caravan idea, sorry my dear Icon.
Out of Character: I also added my bit. I was hoping to have an owl to add to the night security but we will have to rely on Faerydae's vision for now.
